150 pages of iPhone design templates, complete with graph paper around the edges. This makes it very easy to sketch out the look and feel of your next iPhone (or iPod) application, and get the proportions correct.

The images are scaled to 150%, to make it easier to get your ideas in place. This is perfectly combined with the Kapsoft iPhone Stencil (also scaled at 150%) to allow quick, and neat drawings.

The pages are perforated, to allow you to remove sketches if you need to to include in a customer presentation of some kind.

Already working on designing my next app using this great tool.

Good book for creating screen layouts but ... March 3 2011
By MartyTInOZ - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I like this book for what it is: a screen layout sketchbook; I've used those pages to design some of my more complicated screen navigations. The only caution I have for the uninformed is that you'll need access to a copy machine to make sure you have plenty of extra pages.

The only complaint I have about the book (and its synopsis here) is that it wasn't clear that there was not much instructional prose in it (i.e. that it is essentially just a sketch book with no real content to help with screen layout activities).

So, if you're already familiar with iPhone/iPad screen layout practices, then this book is fine, else, it's too thin to really help novice developers.

Perfect and to scale for sketching iPhone ideas on paper! April 4 2010
By Laura W - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If you ever wished you had a convenient way to quickly jot down your iPhone UI development ideas. This is it. It's an easy way to brainstorm and sketch those high-tech ideas on to-scale screen-sized templates. It also helps make sure your ideas aren't scaled bigger or smaller than planned -- once you go to to actual development. Saves time and frustration here.

Having this book handy also helps to make sure I capture ideas I otherwise would forget about. Especially when I wake up in the middle of the night with that next idea for a killer app. Now I just need to learn to write more clearly so I actually remember what I was dreaming up when I read it the next morning....

The only improvement I'd like to see is to sell them in 5-packs (with a discount). So you can keep them in different places (bedroom, office, car, etc.) It's works a lot better for brainstorming if you have it handy when you need it.
Why is this on Kindle? Nov. 3 2011
By D. Scott McDaniel - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I'm perhaps a little slow, but why exactly i this sketch book available for Kindle? It's nothing but blank pages with an iPhone template...

Quite Useful April 6 2010
By Ryan L. Cross - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Sure, you could print out your own iphone images and mark them up, and I'm nearly certain that some occasions might call for such a technique. BUt for situations in which you are wanting to detail what you KNOW a view should look like, and want to make extensive notes and drawings in the margins, this book is ideal for only $10!

I'm now waiting for the iPad version of this one.
