The Marriage Knot (Harlequin Historicals, #465)by Mary McBride Delany is happy to be sheriff of a quiet town like Newton, Kansas since his gun hand isn't what it was when he rode with the Earps and Doc Holliday. He plans to join them in Tombstone once his hand is better. The most exciting thing that's happened in Newton is Ezra Dancer's suicide, that left the lovely Hannah a widow. But Delany avoids her because she has the power to stir feelings he won't acknowledge. Imagine Delany's surprise when he learns that Ezra has left him the Dancer house in his will; Hannah owns the contents, but he owns the house. Hannah is boiling mad. Could Ezra have known that she had been avoiding the sheriff because of the feelings he stirs in her? The sexual tension rises to the surface when secrets about Ezra's past come to light and Delany begins to understand Ezra's reasons for willing him the house. Ms. McBride has written a lovely romance between strong characters and filled their story with well-rounded supporting characters. This is an enjoyable night's read. SENSUAL
