5.0 out of 5 stars Unusually Unusual
Funny dates, beautiful pictures, unfortunate events... this calendar is a must-have for any Snicket fan! Or for that matter, for anyone!

1.0 out of 5 stars Very, very disappointing
As a Lemony Snicket fan I bought this calendar, expecting it to be filled with colourful scenes from the book series. Guess what - I was wrong. Only about 2 or 3 months had colourful pictures/scene and the rest had ridiculous black-and-white photos of the most random things. There was a photo of Lemony Snicket kneeling before a grave, a policeman, a baby, and many many...

I loved this calendar. It includes pictures, clues to VFD, and terribly unfortunate dates (including the day Marie Antoinette said "Let them eat cake!") There are great pictures in here, including my personal favorite page in May. I highly recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars In the spirit of everything depressing..., Nov 24 2003

...Is a stunning collection of months designed to make you wish that you'd picked up something else...Some other calendar, perhaps, like one featuring Strawberry Shortcake, or the Olsen Twins, or something with cute, furry, bunnies...But you're stuck with this one. For thirteen long months. I can't think of a better way to feel better about your own life than to compare it to that of the Baudelaire orphans, and here you will be reminded DAILY of their misfortune...And at this time of Great Thanksgiving, doesn't that seem like the most appropriate gift that you can give?

Only about 2 or 3 months had colourful pictures/scene and the rest had ridiculous black-and-white photos of the most random things. There was a photo of Lemony Snicket kneeling before a grave, a policeman, a baby, and many many more boring things. However, there are little sayings, quotes and jokes on the dates which are pretty good, but don't get this calendar. I regretted it myself.
Although the calendar is terrible, the book series is great so you should read the books instead.

The series of unfortunate event books are honestly the best books i have ever read. It's so cool that there are books about funny distressing things. i have the game and read all of the books even my older brothers, Brent and Cona love it. I can't wait until the next book comes out. I recommend this book to everyone because its a fun read and easy to get in to.

I was so psyched when I found out there was going to be a calendar for A Series of Unfortunate Events. I remember the countdown calendar for The Carnivorous Carnival that was on the offical website during October, and this one is twelve times as great. I love those little comments. Except I was sort of put out when they refered to Canada as a 'cold and desolate place' for Canada Day. :( I don't find where I live cold and desolate at all (37 degrees Celcius today!). Oh well. I forgive them, just because I love Lemony Snicket so much.

I'm a big Lemony fan and i couldn't find this calendar anywhere! So, I just ordered it here. I saw the cover, and it's so beautiful. I thought for sure the awesome Mr. Helquist was gonna have more of these awesome new drawings inside. But no, the insinde is kinda bland, but the things that each day says ae halarious and are sure to make you laugh. Just read one veryday. It's makes it fun erie if you haven't read it, so just read them day by day. It'll cheer you up! So I sujest this to any Lemony fan. Every fan needs one! And hurry! They're hard to find!
