I was planning on trying something new, but ordered this instead of the first in the series. My first thought was that I'd give it away rather than pick up the first book, as I had a hard time getting into the book's first chapter; who were these people? What were they doing? What demon mark? Of course, my confusion was swamped by my growing interest in the answers to these questions, and more questions, and then more answers...in the end, this was a truly interesting, exciting read. I was sort of on hiatus, waiting for the next Anita Blake book, and found this series, for which I am very glad. Great, rich, detailed plots, a series of deepening interpersonal relationships, and a unique world view makes this something to keep on my shelf. No, I am not giving this book away. Buy your own, you won't regret it!

Highly sensual Rachel Morgan will find ways to make your toes curl with her hero while being the bounty hunter at the same time. How does she do it? Also read Full Bloom/Janet Evanovich, Fire In The Ice/Katlyn Stewart and The Ivy Chronicles/ Karen Quinn
