5.0 out of 5 stars It IS a Five Star Read!
Wow, and I do mean WOW!! Tired rehashed plot? Nope, not here. Fresh and original? Absolutely. First off, it's a comedy vamp romance, and yes, there are plenty of those to be had these days, but again, the humor and situations leading to it are fun and a totally new experience in Spark's version. Let's face it, fellow authors and readers, with the vast majority of romance...

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible
I found this book to be completely lacking substance. It was repetitive, tried to be funny but failed and it was entirely predictable. The two main characters, Roman and Shanna, are completely ridiculous. Falling in love after knowing eachother what...like 5 minutes...never mind the fact that the reader doesn't get any insight into how or why these characters fall in...

Let's face it, fellow authors and readers, with the vast majority of romance talent out there, there's more than enough room in the vamp subgenre to welcome this new series into the ever growing vamp fold.

Roman Dragonesti is a vamp on the run--for a dentist! Through a freak accident, and a little snafu of misplaced fang action, he's lost one of his sharp eating utensils. He must find a dentist he can coerce into fixing his problem, or forever bo faced with the stigma of single fanged eating for eternity. Shanna Whelan is on the run too, from hired thugs threatening to snuff her life because of murders she witnessed. Due to the murders, her tenuous career as a dentist is rockier than ever, for she cannot abide the sight of blood. When Roman rescues her from an assassination attempt, she suddenly has a gorgeous new savior--one she finds out all too soon is not quite as perfect as she hoped. With problems no girl should have to face in a relationship, will Shanna overcome her fear of blood and learn to see there's more to life than a "normal" existence? Roman certainly hopes so. Shanna has brought smiles and warmth into a life he thought long dead. He means to have her for his own and he's willing to make some sacrifices.

Okay, so this isn't some supercharged, superhero-driven vamp rollarcoaster ride in tight black leather and spandex. Too that, I say good! What we have here are some awesome characters from Scottish vampire security guards (complete with kilts) to a plethora of amusing vamp "harem" girls ready to get hot and heavy with the hero and heroine. Shanna is a super heroine, torn by her determination to live, despite being marked for death and attracted like nobody's business to Roman. Her reactions to his vamp culture are hilarious and fun to read. Roman is a tortured hero, but what vamp that survives hundreds of years and many gruesome atrocities wouldn't be? He is honorable, good and a true leader to his fellow vampires, one that cares. Sparks has done a superb job of creating yet another vampire world where her particular breed of vamps thrive with vitality, wit and stellar development. There were many characters, but she does a great job of keeping the focus on Shanna and Roman. Good clean writing carries the reader swiftly through the action and romance. Five very enthusiastic and well-deserved stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars BRAVA!, May 16 2005

Shanna Whelan is a dentist whose life has turned upside down. After surviving a massacre by the Russian mafia, Shanna testified against them. Yet even the Witness Protection could not keep her safe afterward because those hunting her are vampires. Ivan Petrovsky is a Russian vampire determined to collect the bounty on Shanna's life. When Shanna is rescued by his nemesis, Roman, it becomes personal.

Roman Draganesti is the CEO of Romatech Industries. He is the creator of synthetic blood which has saved the lives of mortals around the globe. Unknown to mortals, he is also the master of the largest coven in North America and the synthetic blood is used by vampires so they have no need to bite mortals any longer. Roman's group is looking for ways to help mortals and vampires co-exist. So far, mortals are still unaware that vampires are real. It would be nice to keep it that way as long as possible. When Roman loses one of his fangs due to sinking his teeth into something he should not have, he goes to the only dental clinic open during the night. He finds the dentist fighting for her life and rescues her. But once Shanna fixes Roman's fang, how can she be sure her life will not be forfeit?

***** A spicy mix of good vampires, bad vampires, and the mortals who help them. I found this story to be fun, entertaining, and HOT, HOT, HOT! Author Kerrelyn Sparks brings the creatures of the night to life (pun not intended) and makes it seem realistic and normal. This author is a gem in the Super Natural genre. *****

5.0 out of 5 stars What an Imagination, Oct 29 2009

Wow, what a lot of fun. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I picked up this book but I sure am glad I did. The story line of this novel starts out with one of the main characters as a dentist in the witness protection program......need I say more. I think I experinced at least five different emotions during this read and in a couple parts actually laughed out loud. I recommend this to anyone that wants a 'read' that is just pure entertainment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant quick read, Sep 29 2010
This review is from: How To Marry A Millionaire Vampire (Mass Market Paperback)
I have just finished reading this book. I thought i could stay away from the romantic vampires fashion we are going through in this age, but when i saw the cute cover at the bookstore with a big sticker that read "sale: 2.95$", i decided i don't have much to lose. I was pleasantly surprised, it is well-written, sexy and funny at times. Once i started it, I couldn't put it down. Luckily it's quite short, I was done reading it after 3 days. I did find it repetitive at times: the two main characters just can't stop repeating and analyzing their love for one another at every page, sometimes it feels like the author is just trying to fill the pages and make a thicker book, and the end let me down, i was expecting something surprising and it didn't happen. It's no revolution, but it's definitely entertaining. A sweet, light read.

Just as "fluffy" as a Harelquin Romance with a group of annoying vamps and a silly mortal as the main characters. A few hours of my life I will never get back.
