Great Book - Shipping Sucked,
This review is from: Grow Young With Hgh (Paperback)
After the book took 2 months to come (yikes), it turned out to be extremely informative. The info is detailed which would probably be a little easier to understand with a bit more anatomy knowledge but I think I missed little because of the clarity of the writing. If you're considering HGH it's worth a read :)

A good place to start...,

Unlike some of the other reviewers, I think both this book and HGH are great. This book is a great place to start getting some information on this issue. Perhaps the reason why hgh is not working for people is due to their use of synthetic hgh drugs that have side effects... Myself and some of my family members have been using a natural hgh called yf-8 that causes our body to naturally produce hgh. So, it is not that hgh is bad or doesn't work, it just has to work with your body. This book offers great insight into the many benefits that hgh can do for our aging bodies. Get a copy and see for yourself.

HGH precursors and all similar products have been proven useless, but Klatz has made his money, so no problem.

Excellent presentation of facts involving one of the most exciting medical breakthroughs to come along in decades. Dr. Klatz provides the science and data behind the claims and breaks down the biochemistry in such a manner that makes it understandable to all who read this book. If anti-aging is a part of your medical practice, this book should be on your shelf. If you are not offering anti-aging HGH therapy to your patients, you are doing them a disservice.Dr. David Orman www.hghplus.net hghplus@yahoo.com

Some Good Advice Surrounded by Hype,
By
This review is from: Grow Young With Hgh (Paperback)
Whenever a new miracle wonder drug hits the market, the result is usally a wave of books written by pseudo-experts or health care professionals with a financial axe to grind. It is rare to find an objective and understandable text for the layman that outlines this new wonder drug's plusses and minuses. In the case of GROW YOUNG WITH HGH, Dr. Ronald Klatz has written a text that falls somewhere between the two. Much of Dr. Klatz's opinion is based on results that were obtained by the painful and expensive method of injecting HGH directly into the bloodstream. Those who had the tolerance for discomfort and high cost usually obtained impressive gains. No small wonder here, since the HGH injected was far more potent than what is available on the internet without prescription. Further, these recipients received their doses under a doctor's care. The problem with non-prescription HGH is that it is nowhere as potent as that delivered via injection. Additionally, the fact that those who buy HGH on the internet are not particularly well-versed on exactly what they are ingesting. In defense of Dr.Klatz, he makes these very points, even if in so doing, he still manages to disguise this warning under a heavy blanket of hype and blurb. Those, like myself, who have read his book, need to do more than read it before purchasing HGH. Additional research is needed. In my case, I discovered that HGH is truly not a means to turn back the hands of time. Frequent visits to the doctor, a sensible diet, moderate exercise, and a non-stressful attitude toward life will accomplish much of what HGH promoters promise. HGH ought to be seen as merely one step on the spectrum to wellness. For those who wish to take HGH in any form--whether through homeopathic means, inhalers, secretagogues or whatever--should first examine his own lifestyle to determine what tinkering is needed to prepare for the next step: HGH. Dr. Klatz does do an admirable job of hitting the main points of what HGH is and how to use it, but he unfortunately gives the distinct but misleading impression that by simply taking HGH, one may indeed encounter all the hype manifested in the myriad ads of books like his. Still, with reservations, I recommend GROW YOUNG WITH HGH, but only if the potential user can separate documented fact from fanciful fiction. By the way, after six months of my taking HGH,I have experienced some--but not all--of the promised results. Pretty much what I expected.

Deception and misinformation!,

After Rudman's 1990 article in the New England Journal of Medicine reporting that GH replacment increases lean body mass while reducing adiposity and the rate of bone density loss, everyone thought GH was the perfect anti-aging remedy. All the sudden researchers came out of the woodwork reporting how GH replacement is beneficial for the elderly. The drug companies manufactured it and of course they needed a lot of supporting research to get people to take it. This book was written in that timeframe. Now that GH has been on the market a few years, newer research shows that the beneficial effects of GH replacement are very minimal to none and many even report adverse effects, to include an increase in incidence of cancer. So why do we not see a 2nd edition to this book? Probably because anyone who reads the current animal and human research will see that taking GH could be deleterious to their health. In fact, animal research shows that GH excess (as the body could experience in GH supplements) reduces lifespan and that not having GH or being resistant to GH can extend lifespan. It is important to remember that there is no magic pill to reverse or stop the aging process, at least not yet. Research on GH shows us if nothing else that we know very little about how and to what extent GH plays a role in longevity and body functions aside from the obvious growth and metabolism. Readers should be wary of books that profess to have the answer to the fountain of youth and claim to contain all this supporting research, as the supporting research is all they are reporting. That is not always the truth nor an indication that researchers really have the answers. If you want to learn about the aging body, read a physiology book!

PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS STUFF!!!!,

This review is from: Grow Young With Hgh (Paperback)
I know all this stuff seems like a good idea but have we forgotten GHB? That was supposedly the fountain of youth a few years ago and now no one hardly even talks about it. Let me let you in on a little secret, GHB turned out to be a very addictive substance and in fact a handy little trick to get a girl naked without any problems like dinner movie or even her knowing you for that matter. Like HGH, everyone jumped on it before all the data was in. Please put your money away and be safe. A pretty face isn't worth the trouble this could potentially cause. And lets be realistic at 60 you really won't ever look 20 again and the weight you would have lost will be the money leaving your pocket book and not the fat from your thighs. Work out, do yoga, and eat a healthy vegetarian diet and you can't go wrong. Also, when i stopped eating sugar the cellulite also disappeared and so did those extra pounds.

..where are the results in real people? Not the 'real people' who rave about products in various venues, but people that you/I meet in real life. I'm involved with alternative medicine, and whenever I see anyone,(known to me or not), who appears to have improved physically,I try to find out how and why.My informal survey, which adds up to thousands of people in the last few years since this book has been out, comes up with a big fat -zero- for HGH and it's precursors,in any form except for injectable HGH itself. A little research of the good doctor reveals business affiliations with at least some of the companies whose products he recommends. I consider this book a catalog.(As for the latest craze, 'homeopatic hgh', please realize what homeopathic formulas actually are:_incredibly_ weak dilutions. That's why it's legal. If you ascribe to the homeopatic philosophy, fine, but I find that most people don't know what they're getting into:The theoretically perfect homeopathic dilution would have _none-of the original ingrediant left in it, just the 'energy pattern' formed from it's having once been there. Like I said, if you go for that, fine, but be forewarned.)

RAH RAH RAH!,

Dr. Klatz is a chearleader for human growth hormone, a miraculous substance that is the new fountain of youth (!?) He idealizes bodybuilders; the substance itself sounds suspiciously like those wonderful anabolic steroids. I question somewhat the credibility of this book. To the author's credit, even HE says more research is needed on these substances.

I have read and reread Dr.Klatz'book Grow Young with HGH and being a researcher I find it agrees with the some 30,000 pieces of medical litrature worldwide-not that I have them all,but there is a general agreement with the basic facts. The books information is scientifically sound.I found his section/s on secretogogues interesting as I dislike the injectable and it's darn right expensive.I found that the man he mentions in his book Howard Turney is really called, especially in Europe, "The Father of Growth Hormone".In another book you sell Feeling Younger with Homeopathic HGH (don't recall writer)I spotted, on the cover, Turneys name!I learned that Turney recommends a homeopathic version of HGH and that it gives him the same results as the injectable!I ordered the product from Dreamous.com and after using it I found Turney is right.I feel that Dr.Klatz sees the possibility that HGH will be the next total rejuvenator. He got me excited and I feel I am growing young!Get this amazing book.
