...you won't be disappointedA true perspective from Darcy's point of view of Pride and Prejudice. The author has been true to the original story written by Jane Austen which is a pure delight for a Austen fan. It was a pleasure to read what Darcy was doing and thinking during those times he was absent from the book. It really does fill in those blanks that so many of us so wanted filled in.

Excellent, Jane Austen would love it,

I just finished Darcy's Story and loved it. Janet Aylmer shows a whole next side of Darcy, sensitive, insecure, but absolutely misunderstood at first by Elizabeth Bennet. As I read the book, I came to understand Darcy in a whole new light. Absolutely delightful. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austen would have loved it.

Surprisingly Good,
This review is from: Darcy's Story (Paperback)
I picked this book up very reluctantly, though it was recommended to me, because we all know how many horrible books like these there are. People try to make money off the success of Jane Austen's books, but the results are usually only a good option if you want to totally ruin your enjoyment of the original. This book however, is not like that. It's actually really good! The writing flowed nicely, and if not quite as intricate as Jane Austen's, it wasn't annoying or stilted like I worried it might be. Darcy came off as extremely likeable and I felt like I was reading Pride and Prejudice, just more of it, like the deleted scenes or something. If you're bored of P&P this is not the book, because it's the same thing just in Darcy's head. But if you want more more more, this is the perfect book! Well-written and enjoyable, and best of all, not absolutely horrible!

I don't know. It's a good story, I agree it is fun for an austen fan to think about what exactly was going through Darcy's mind throughout the story and at times I became rather fond of what this author thought Darcy was thinking. BUt at other times I thought that the author conviently skims moments of importance, moments where her creation of darcy contradicts with Miss Austen's. And this frustrated me a bit. But overall, a fun read.

This book lacks creativity. I could not get exited about the story. I had to stop reading it. It adds nothing to the story on the contrary it dulls it.

Interesting perspective from Darcy's side of the story,

If you love Pride & Prejudice and wonder what the story would be like from Darcy's perspective this is one of them but it doesn't get as deep as I would like it to. I was comparing it to another version written by Amanda Grange which I loved called Mr Darcy's Diary. I would choose Amanda's version versus this one.
