I'm nearly finished reading this book but from what I've read so far, it's quite interesting. Only thing is, Steve comes across as a bit old-fashioned; the type of guy he describes as ideal is more or less non-existent these days, particularly for my generation, 20-25 year old females. To get a guy to Profess, Provide and Protect as he says a guy should do would be nice but not practical. My dad is that ideal guy, but a guy around my age? I'm not so sure. I don't mean to sound pessimistic but it's just hard for me to believe some of the stuff Steve writes. I've seen him on Oprah promoting the book, and quite frankly he was a lot more insightful on the show which you can see:[...]. Overall he does give a lot of good advice like the 90 day rule and how to know if a guy chooses you as the one, and there were some poignant stories told like the one about his friend who wanted a pineapple juice and put it in the shopping cart of his girlfriends' and she throws it on the ground and yells at him for not making money, just tore my heart for the guy. and most importantly why men do cheat. I would recommend this book to those in a steady relationship but not so much for younger single women.

This book was a stepping stone to the male mind. Yes we do think thinks differently. Have a better perspective on how I ask things now that I know how to ask for things. Must read if you want to understand your man and have less hassles.

The book is interesting but everything in it doesn't apply to our daily life. It gives you an idea of what to expect from a guy,how he should treat you if you're a girl and how to treat your man if you plan on having a future with him.

I quite enjoyed reading this book. Steve Harvey explains men simply and honestly. It will be helpful. Now I'd like to see the movie and read his other book.

This book is an easy read, highly recommended for all women (I'm 45ish); I'm giving to all my nieces (early 20s) and will donate books to local libraries; should be required reading for all teen girls and young women. Your behaviour will change (to the better) after you read this book and your relationship with your man will be much better (I've been married 22 years and hope to make the next 22+ even better). Girls and young women will be better ladies.

It was very interesting - read it in one night. Thought it would be a "longer" read than it was but what Steve says makes perfect sense.

Was a great book. I recommended it. I wish there were more pages. Very good tips and funny advice. As funny as the movie with even more details.

This book shows the simple and primitive mind of a man. It is a very blunt and raw depiction of how men interact with women in society.

Although very entertaining, you might feel offended by some of Harvey's observations.

Easy read for all ages, but must be a taken with a grain of salt!

Enjoy.
