This very readable book is written by an experienced trader who has gone through the bad years, turned it around, and figured out how to make money trading. What Marcel Link offers is an experienced guide to tell you how a winning trader thinks about the process of trading, and what it takes to be a successful trader. He writes like a friend. He confirms the good things you were doing with your trading, and uncovers the areas where you can improve. You finish reading the book with increased confidence in knowing what it takes to be a trader, and in your approach to trading. Get this book, relate to it with what you've experienced with your trading, and enjoy some insights into the decisions and dilemmas, you need to get past, to become a successful trader. This book has changed the way I trade. One of the best trading books out there. Enjoy.

I think this is definitley one of the best books out there on trading.
Now that I have been trading for 6 years, I can evaluate trading books better and this one is really good.
I especially like the section on technical analysis especially on stuff about looking at different time frames and how to set stops.
The other great thing about this book is that it covers almost every aspect of trading. This is a very comprehenisive book on how to become a good trader.
A must read for beginner and intermediate level traders.

This book makes alot of sense, its not only for beginners, its for anyone who wants to be profitable. As i read different sections of the book i would realize the mistakes in my trading. The psychology section alone is better than other books written entirely on the subject. The entire book gave me advice i found to be essential and vital to trading (and i`v read many). You will want to turn to this book again and again.

I've read some of the reviews (or should I say criticisms) of this book. They write that it's for beginners, there are just a couple of setups, and the obligatory discipline "cut your losses" warning chapter. I think people are missing the big picture.
If you want a detailed book about technical analysis, with lots of explanations, setups, etc. etc., there's "Technical Analysis Explained" by Martin J. Pring, or you can buy something by Jack Schwager or John Murphy.
If you want a book about building and testing a trading system, there's "Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom" by Van K. Tharp.
If you want a self-help book about discipline / psychology, there are a lot of those, some in the investment section, some in the psychology section.
If you want a book about day-trading, there are a ton of those as well.
The thing I like about this book is that everything is there in one place. At the end of each chapter, the author gives you pointers on what to do and what to avoid doing to reinforce your memory of the principles. The book is written in a very readable style. I got this book about three weeks ago, and by applying some of the principles I learned from the book, I made two profitable trades (which I would not have normally made) and avoided making a trade which I normally would have made. This trade would have been a loser. As a result of reading this book, I made and saved enough money in the last three weeks to buy ten copies of this book. Isn't that why we read these books???

Reads much like Trading for a Living by Alexander Elder. Presents a few setups, lot of beginner trading info and the typical psychological chapter. I would recommend this to beginners, but any experienced trader will find this to be "just another book".

Having purchased many 'how to trade' books over the years, and experiencing only indifferent success at daytrading, I was intrigued by the title--'High Probability Trading' was exactly what I neeeded to master. This book delivers the goods. Mr. Link has provided a concise, clearly written, no-nonsense set of guidelines which should help anyone to become a better trader. In particular, he addresses the all-important issue of money and risk management, a topic often ignored in other works, and does so in his usual methodical, easy-to-understand style.
This book is without doubt the best of its kind I've read, and if you are serious about daytrading I recommend it to you in the strongest terms.

for starters, this book is probably one of the best trading books I've ever seen. The last chapter on the inner mind of trading was worth the book alone- I've always been scared to get out of losing positions quick enough, even though I know I have to and Mr Link gives a few good ways to overcome these fears. Though some of the book is directed at begginers. It doesnt help to reinforce these ideas. for example I cant remember the last time I kept a journal, but I do realize how important one is.

I've been trading for 15 years and I read as many trading books as I can, and I found High Probability Trading to be one of the best yet. There is no bull or get rich quick trading system in this book, instead the Author lays out some simple but often over looked principles of how to become a better trade. For example he stresses that trading with trend has always been the way to go and one should not get to fancy by trading the counterwaves. Its a simple prinicple but one that I can forget about at times. This book was a great refresher and taught me a few things about my trading, i highly recommend it to any trader.

Glanced the book at a local bookstore, couldn't put it down. Plan to order the book through Amazon.com Thanks Mr. Link. One gem I learned from the book for day-traders/swing traders as to how to use ATR. Planning to check ATR before I chase any stocks. Well, I shouldn't be chasing it in the first place. That's the one single thing I'm unable to overcome consistently yet. This book has lot of gems in it for me to help to manage my weakness. This book will join the classic list of stock market books in my humble opinion. This book joined my personal top ten list already. Great one.
