5.0 out of 5 stars This book is the best scientific biography of Einstein, Feb. 12 2001

Pais's book is the best scientific biography of Einstein to date. The author, as an eminent particle physicist turned historian, has the ability to understand and portray Einstein's work as few others could. Foelsing's biography is better for depicting Einstein's "life and times", and the scientific milieu in which Einstein came to maturity.

Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Subtle is the Lord: The Science and the Life of Albert Einstein (Paperback)
this is what I call technical biography, this kind of biography does not avoid the technical stuff about the person , in this case, the important discovery of Einstein, it contains a lot physics terms and formulas, don't think you wound't understand.well, maybe you do not, but you dont have to, what is left if you take physics away from his story?
