Another Pleasing Read
I have listened to many ABC audio tapes while driving on trips or doing errands. I always have a Sue Grafton ABC mystery tape available. She never fails to entertain and Kinsey Milhone is "my good friend." She lives nearby, and she is all woman! I admire her spunky character and her "worldly-wise" wisdom, but she falters now and then..and which woman...

Who Did Kill Guy Anyway? Kinsey Gets Tangled Up!
This book was pretty good to read. I didn't find it that hard to get into as many people said on here-but the ending could have been better. Kinsey was assigned a job to try and find the missing member of the Malek family-Guy. He has a share coming from his father's will of 5-million dollars, but the family is holding a lot of hatred against Guy for their own reasons...

Who Did Kill Guy Anyway? Kinsey Gets Tangled Up!, Mai 6 2004
This book was pretty good to read. I didn't find it that hard to get into as many people said on here-but the ending could have been better.Kinsey was assigned a job to try and find the missing member of the Malek family-Guy. He has a share coming from his father's will of 5-million dollars, but the family is holding a lot of hatred against Guy for their own reasons. Therefore, when Kinsey does find Guy almost right away in the story, there is another reason the Malek's wanted him back-for malice, and evenmore so for Murder. And this is what happens when Guy chooses to try and make amends. Kinsey sort of liked the man, and is feeling guilty for leading him back to his malicious siblings. One of them had the nerve to kill-but whom? Was it Donovan, Jack, or Bennett? Or maybe it was Kristie or Myrna? Kinsey is watching everything with a very close eye to see exactly who the guilty one is.

Hard to get into, but GREAT twist around Ch 13!, Aoû 1 2003
Par Un client
This was a difficult book to get involved with, that is until Grafton began developing relationships between the characters. GREAT plot twist between ch. 12 & 13, worth reading through to the end.

EXTREMELY HARD TO "GET INTO", Juil 12 2003
Par Un client
I've read many-a-mystery and this particular writing style was a challenge for me to "get lost in". I gave up at chapter 6. Good luck!

A fun read but less satisfying than some of the others, Jui 12 2003
Par Un client
Compared to some of the others in this dependably engrossing series, 'M is for Malice' ranks a bit lower due to an unsatisfying ending. I found myself wondering about the characters' reactions when they learned what really happened, since the story ended somewhat abruptly. Also the interactions between Kinsey and her friends and other regular supporting characters could have been better developed. Despite these criticisms, 'M' was a fun read and it's a strong series.

I admire her spunky character and her "worldly-wise" wisdom, but she falters now and then..and which woman doesn't? A very real character no matter what the problem is that needs to be solved, and a truly delightful woman. I will always be a Sue Grafton fan through to the end of the series! In search of a long-lost brother, Avril 10 2003
The Malek family has two problems--a long-lost brother and a missing will. When the patriarch of the family dies, it becomes imperative for three brothers to find their brother Guy, who was banished from the family many years ago. PI Kinsey Millhone looks for Guy and finds a much different man from the one who left the family many years ago. The remaining brothers seem determined to get Guy's share of the father's estate and will stop at nothing to accomplish this. When a murder occurs, Kinsey sees the Malek brothers as chief suspects. In this edition of the series, Dietz returns for another fling at romance with Kinsey and the murderer finds an interesting sort of justice.

M is for masterful, Fév 6 2003
Sue Grafton has written a great piece of work with the mystery "M is for Malice." The title really defines the story, with a great ending. Once you begin reading the story she immediately captures her readers curiosity with her great depiction of every event that has taken place. I will not say what happens, you must read it for yourself to find out how great of a writer Sue Grafton is. Just like any other great mystery you will not be able to figure out who the suspect is until the very end, You may think you know but you have no idea! Do not worry about never having read any of her other stories, she will explain everything in each of her books.

Not her best., Fév 2 2003
Par Un client
This one is a bit disappointing. As a general rule, it is an enjoyable read, but the best scenes may well be the interaction between Millhone and Dietz. What really does this one in is the handling of the "ghost scenes", if you can really call them that. They read more like a badly performed seance. It this is the best Grafton has to offer on the subject of ghosts, we are indeed fortunate she is leaving the subject entirely alone in the rest of her novels.

M is for Malice= A suspenseful novel, Sep 23 2002
M is for Malice was the first book that I read from the Sue Grafton alphabet series. The book was easy to follow and thoroughly understandable for those who have not yet read other books in the series. The plot was realistic, and I enjoyed the emotions brought about by the selfish Malek brothers and their disowned sibling who had long awaited reunion only to find nobody cares about him. This book was easy reading and suspenseful until the last page.
