The tells us the truth about where to go. I woke up years ago so this great book fed my appetite for more. It is just what the doctor ordered Awesome but truthful it awakens us up again. My book is out on loans from our church.

By peter wing (Vancouver) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Leap: How to Survive and Thrive in the Sustainable Economy (Hardcover)
I was somewhat sceptical when I read Andrew Nikiforuk's glowing review of The Leap in the Globe and Mail because I am familiar with his bias - and happen to largely agree with him on many issues! However, having read the book, I agree with him in recommending it. The book is very readable and contains some concepts that we and our governments need to learn and apply, because we continue to burn oil as if it had no adverse effects on us all - and especially on our children and grandchildren. Turner shows us that the technology exists that will reduce in a major way our dependence on fossil fuels and shows us many examples of changes that are taking place in many countries and cities that we can and should emulate. Read this book; give copies to your younger friends and to your politicians.
