This review is from: The Trouble with Islam Today: A Muslim's Call for Reform in Her Faith (Paperback)
I was surprised by the gentle humour of this woman, and her intelligent and thoughtfilled analysis of her own journey to faith in Islam, along with her questions, concerns and critiques. This is a very real person writing her own journey into faith in spite of the callous disregard Islamic teachers have for women, and even for their own faith. She explores the abuse of women, the intellectual gaps and errors, as well as how Islam is again tending to violence. Instead of just critisizing from a distance this woman offers constructive solutions, thoughtful ways to approach faith and is written in a freindly, easy to read manner. I am not a Muslim, I am a Christian, and while I'm concerned with much of Islam today, this is one Muslim woman I would be happy to call a friend.

Total Garbage, Total Lies, Total Ignorance, and Total BS,
This review is from: The Trouble with Islam Today: A Muslim's Call for Reform in Her Faith (Paperback)
The individual who wrote this book is clearly a disturbed individual who should try and fix her narcissistic personality disorder than try and justify it through a poorly written book like this. This book is fallacious, wrong, and untrue. It lacks any relevant information and is pretty much a horrible rant. I would definitely NOT recommend this trash to anyone. Any rational person could see that she is totally delusional and outright wrong.

Save Your Self!!,
This review is from: The Trouble with Islam Today: A Muslim's Call for Reform in Her Faith (Paperback)
I happened read a few chapter of her book in the library.. And I m amazed what she had to say for countries where never lived in... The fact that she doesn't speak Farsi, Arabic is also alittle troublesome for her to write a book on a subject matter that needs years of understanding.... Finally, I would say this, its MUST READ for HARD CORE CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVES it would help them along with FOX (Faux) news..

Manji knows how to advertise herself. Her rhetoric is quite amusing. I also watched the documentary on DVD and I have to say that I felt sorry for wasting time watching hate in the name of what she calls freedom and diversity.I think she is herself taking full advantage of what she complains exists in the teaching of Islam making her quite the hypocrite. Manji doesn't know the difference between religion and religious but she likes to sound as though she knows everything. |
