A basically sound textbook but be careful, Déc 16 2007
I've been using the HOT (Hands-On-Training) series successfully in classes for about 5 years. This edition of the book presented some serious problems. When students tried to adapt the navigation method used in the book for their final projects, there were tons of errors and it held back progress in the class for two weeks. MAybe it's the fault of Adobe ActionScript3 not being ready for prime-time. Make sure you test the examples extensively using your own content.
Also, it was very poorly bound and all the books were falling apart by the end of the semester.
