Programming in Objective-C is a well written, well organized approach to learning the objective-c language. Readers are gradually introduced to increasingly complex programs culminating in the development of a fully functional mobile application for the iPhone. No prior programming knowledge is required although readers with a background in programming will have a richer learning experience. I was particularly impressed with the fact that the author, Stephen Kochan, intentionally approaches objective-c as an object oriented programming language (OOP) as opposed to a superset of c programming language resulting in what I believe to be a more focused learning experience.

This is a good text for learning the language. It did not contain the IOS
specific examples that I was looking for though. Still a great reference.
