Well written book.Easy to understand and follow. Good work!!!!I am not to good with computers. Did follow the book,started different files for my pictures.Book easy to follow. Frank

The only lightroom guide needed. Martin offers very clear and concise instruction, with very apparent Adobe input. Beginners and experienced will appreciate.

I think Martin Evening is the best 'technical' writer on LR and PS if maybe a little wordy at times.

This book is for the professional photographer and the photography enthusiast willing to invest time in making Lightroom 4 a part of their workflow. For that purpose it is difficult to imagine improvements to this book. The coverage and the depth are well chosen, the text is well written, and the illustrations are appropriate. Having Martin Evening's "Adobe Photoshop CS6 for Photographers" and Jeff Smith's "The Digital Negative" I'm all set.

For those new to Lightroom or more comfortable with learning by experience I suggest lighter reading to first gain familiarity with the basics, and later obtaining this book for reference.

This book is wonderful. Evening has written a full exposé of LR4 which is clear and has excellent illustrations and examples. It is a book for reference rather than reading cover to cover, but like all good reference books it seduces you into flipping to other topics. The index appears comprehensive. Thoroughly recommended.
