Pretty much word for word what was shown in the TV series, with just a little more background description and events to answer some old questions. Worth getting.

This review is from: Robotech: The Macross Saga: Doomsday (Mass Market Paperback)
For romantic science fiction lovers, this cuts the cake. Not only is this the greatest action story ever written but it is the ultimate clash between the human race and any alien beings. I'd give this 10 thumbs up - if I had 10 thumbs!

Join Rick Hunter and the rest of mankind as they try to save Earth. The war seems to be coming to a close, but Earth itself is still a battlefield, as both humans and aliens try to find their place within a world almost destroyed by years of conflict. Will Rick tell Lisa he loves her? Will there ever be peace? Will the Robotech Masters come to Earth themselves? READ IT!

This book contains the most pivotal point in the Robotech storyline within the Force of Arms section. It is an intense story of the greatest confrontation between humans and the invading aliens that will leave you glued in place until the very end. This book is a must have for any fan of sci-fi, mech-based stories, or anime.

This review is from: Robotech: The Macross Saga: Doomsday (Mass Market Paperback)
The book Robotech is about an abandoned alien ship that crash landed on earth in the year 2000. About 10 years later, humans on earth found the alien ship and repaired the intact ship. This was the ship to save Human kind from being extinct from the thousands of aliens from outer space. There are several books that include in the series and I recommend to read all the books because it is suspenseful, and also include action and a love triangle to it. The book creates a vivd imagination once you pick up and read. This book can make you sad, happy, laugh, and excited. I would defi ately tell people to read this who love anime, action, suspense, and a love stories.

awesome,
This review is from: Robotech: The Macross Saga: Doomsday (Mass Market Paperback)
These books are a rage. This portion sees one of the largest and most glorious battles I have ever read in a sci-fi novel, which pitches Zentraedi warriors against Invid Shocktroopers. You just can't beat Robotech for an endorphin-level-raising bodycount.

Robotech: Battlehymn/Force of Arms/Doomsday,

For a person that enjoys anime/style stories, this one will top them all. The story line keeps the reader interested and doesn't drag on about one subject. I think that people will find out that the characters displayed in the book are more real than they think. For instance, most sci-fi books have the shoot'em up and get the girl type genre. But this book portrays the life story of Rick Hunter in the Zentraedi conflict. He works to help the citizens of Macross survive in combat and in deep space. Romance and comedy come into play and a whole bunch of other stories surface. The way that Jack McKinney plots the stories will keep you up for hours gripping this book for more. I give this book five stars for detail, action, romance, and story plot.

Robotech 4,5,6 keeps on going,

This review is from: Robotech: The Macross Saga: Doomsday (Mass Market Paperback)
Robotech:4,5,& 6 tell of the continuing story between the RDF (Robotech Defence Force) and the evil Zedtraedi Armada. The love triangle between Rick, Lisa, and Lynn-Minmei also gets larger in this trilogy. The Zedtraedi Rebellion continues, with Konda, Rico, and Bron spearheading the movement.

These books are of the best I have ever read. Never have I loved a set of books as much as the Robotech series of novels. If anybody has ever seen the show, played the role playing game or is into post-apocalyptic rebirth of humanity and society, then these books are a must. A good understanding of the military structure and operations is an accessory that one should have in order to fully comprehend the nature of many desicions made and some of the context behind the lines. This set of books I will keep with me until the ends of time and cherish as they have helped not only to give me a better undestanding of the nature of storytelling, but of the military, humanity, and of politics |
