Morgan's Woman,
By A Customer
This review is from: Morgan's Woman (Mass Market Paperback)
If a romance novel deserves a 5 star rating it's "Morgan's Woman". The style of Judith E. French is unsurpassed. I was able to picture myself riding through the mountains, across the praire, and the fear of the mountain lion as if I were there. I love the way Tamsin and Ash are the most unlikely pair only to end up as soul mates in the end. I love reading Judith E. French's novels so much, that when I start them I literally can't put it down until I'm finished! I eagerly await for her newest novel to be published. Except for a few of her newer novels that are out of print, I have every novel written by Judith E. French. I believe she gets better with each book. Buy "Morgan's Woman" and judge for yourself. I know you'll love reading it as much as I did.

Morgan's Woman from The Bookdragon Review,
This review is from: Morgan's Woman (Mass Market Paperback)
The widowed Tamsin MacGreggor sneaks into a barn to steal back her stolen horses and trips over the body of the man she accused earlier of taking her horses. Unfortunately, the body's brother is the local judge, and even though he's happy to see his brother buried, he's not going to let a horse thief get away with murder. So Tamsin takes to the hills with bounty hunter Ash Morgan on her trail. Tamsin is an airhead with occasional flashes of intelligence and Morgan is the male equivalent. This shallow western has an easily identifiable culprit, no surprises and minimal suspense in a disappointing novel by an established author.Reprinted from The Bookdragon Review.

Breathless Excitement,

This review is from: Morgan's Woman (Mass Market Paperback)
Morgan's Woman is a heroine full of never-say-die spirit. Tamsin's adventures and love story gives us a powerful image of days when the "Wild West" was no place for a female but Tamsin tames it!

This review is from: Morgan's Woman (Mass Market Paperback)
I truly enjoyed Morgan's Woman. I have been a long-time fan of Judith E. French, and this book has not disappointed me! Strong heroine...a hero that is ultimately charmed by her...and adventure-packed action in the wilderness! What more could you ask for!

Horribly Insipid,
By A Customer
This review is from: Morgan's Woman (Mass Market Paperback)
The plot is unimaginative and thin, the characters are predictable and unsympathetic, and the romance is forced and unconvincing, lacking any real spark or passion. Any promise in the premise of the story is ruined by the stale and artificial descriptions of the American "wild west". The writing is unimpressive at best, falling into ramble at points. This book lacks any of the humor, tension, and tenderness that makes its genre entertaining.

I don't usually read romance novels but a friend told me about Judith French, and since then I have been hooked on her. She is a great storyteller and what a tale! This is my favorite of all of her books. Its western setting sets a beautiful background for this story of love. Buy this book!

Well worth your time!,

Tamsin MacGreggor was wanted - dead or alive - for a murder she did not commit and bounty hunter, Ash Morgan, was hot on her trail! His determination to capture her alive was fueled by the fact that he believed her to be the mistress of the outlaw, Jack Cannon. Ash had been after Cannon ever since Cannon had murdered his wife and unborn child many years ago. Tamsin was running for her life! Sam had stolen her two thoroughbred horses. She had planned to slip into his stables and steal them back! She found him dead, shot in the back. The Judge, Sam's brother, saw Tamsin running from the stables with two horses and claimed she had killed Sam. Tamsin had witnessed Sam and his brother fighting over a woman just a few hours prior. If he was at the stables at this time of night, that proved HE killed his own brother over a female. But since he was the Judge, she knew she could never prove it or get a fair trial. *** Okay, I do not think I gave anything away. I believe Readers will easily figure out who the guilty party is, but that is such a small part of the book that it does not matter. Tasmin is a fabulous character who, I am happy to say, is smart and full of guts! No whimpering and stupid heroine here! I thought her to be wonderful! There is more action than it sounds like too. Toss in some renegade Indians, several outlaws, and even some wild animals. Now THAT is guaranteed action! I am proud to recommend this one to Historical Romance lovers everywhere! ***

Fast Paced Romance,
This review is from: Morgan's Woman (Mass Market Paperback)
After her husband dies and leaves her with nothing, Tamsin MacGreggor is determined to take her two remaining thouroughbreds to California to start a horse ranch. Her plans backfire while in Colorado when her horses are stolen.Determined to steal her horses back, Tamsin sneaks into the barn of the local horse trader and finds a dead man. Now she is running for her life, blamed for a murder she did not commit. Ash Morgan only plans to retrieve the outlaw and collect his bounty, but Tamsin proves harder to catch than her had anticipated. After escaping from him twice, Ash is bound and determined that Tamsin not get away again. But doubts begin to cloud Ash's judgement. Maybe Tamsin is innocent? As the two fall in love Ash battles his feels for Tamsin and his pledge to do the right thing and uphold the law. Morgan's Woman is a fast paced romance that sometimes will keep you on the edge of your seats. (or bed in my case) Tamsin and Ash battle Indians, mountain cats, weather, and their own feelings for eachother. Highly recommended.

Judith French never lets me down. I've read all her books and she always delivers an entertaining read. Morgan's Woman is no different! With a feisty heroine and a rugged, handsome hero, this book is filled with adventure and romance. Just what I was looking for! Thank you, again, Ms. French! You are a superb writer.
