5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
As a collection of an old, much loved series, it's great for those who don't own the individual books but enjoy the series. Just keep in mind what exactly you're getting - a new collection of an older series, for convenience. You're not going to get anything new.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is NOT a "New Book"
This is just a repackage of 3 novels that came out in 1990, 1991, & 1992. So the Release Date listed is very, very misleading.

And while mildly entertaining at the time; there should be a large warning label on the cover indicating that this is not new material so that those who have forgotten that they have already read these books 15 years ago do not waste $...

As a collection of an old, much loved series, it's great for those who don't own the individual books but enjoy the series. Just keep in mind what exactly you're getting - a new collection of an older series, for convenience. You're not going to get anything new.

The series itself is highly entertaining; as one of Eddings' older series, it's much better than his newer works. If you're looking for a good vs. evil series with quirky humour and amusing characters, than this is a good, engrossing read. Don't expect it to stimulate your brain - the feature of a good Eddings' book is it's a straight-forward story that will leave you smiling if you've had a stressful day. You don't need to analyse it; just enjoy it.

4.0 out of 5 stars FantasyLand, Jun 4 2011
This review is from: The Elenium: The Diamond Throne The Ruby Knight The Sapphire Rose (Paperback)
David Eddings was certainly an organized, imaginative and capable author. His writings took me into a fantasy world that was both intriguing, entertaining and unforgettable! I thought I had lost interest in his "world" and passed on my copies to others, but after three years missed them so much I had to buy them again.
