4.0 out of 5 stars The first book by this author
This is the first book I read by D. Palmer and I find it very emotional and very realistic. Yes, the guy is a despot, who hurts the girl in the story in a cruel way, but I would not recommend that you drop the book or not take it up at all. What is masterfully written is the description of his remorse and feelings once he learns the truth. So, Garon might not be my...

If you liked Diana Palmer's books in the past, don't read this book. It started like all the other book big strong guy with a dark past and jaded outlook on woman and human nature meets shy innocent girl dying to trow herself at the feet of this a hole so that he may kick her when she is dowm. I never review books as a rule and this is my first but I feel I should stop...

4.0 out of 5 stars The first book by this author, Aug 13 2008
This review is from: Lawman (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the first book I read by D. Palmer and I find it very emotional and very realistic. Yes, the guy is a despot, who hurts the girl in the story in a cruel way, but I would not recommend that you drop the book or not take it up at all. What is masterfully written is the description of his remorse and feelings once he learns the truth. So, Garon might not be my favourite type of man, although I admit that the character is very well developed and his emotions are very logical based on the facts. Grace's character might have taken some more development in relation to what she felt coming out of her dark past, but like a character in the books says and I am paraphrazing, "it is time for the wounded souls to stop thinking about themselves and to look around to see who needs help".

I liked the book very much and am planning to read more of Mrs. Palmer's work. That is why I am recommending it.

If you liked Diana Palmer's books in the past, don't read this book. It started like all the other book big strong guy with a dark past and jaded outlook on woman and human nature meets shy innocent girl dying to trow herself at the feet of this a hole so that he may kick her when she is dowm. I never review books as a rule and this is my first but I feel I should stop you from even wasting an hour on this one. Since when do sexually abused girl become raging sexpots. Boy do you need to see a psychologist after this unbelievable tale. Anyway you stop caring after the "hero" not keeps hurting the woman he "loves" yeah right. Disfuctional much. The only good thing about this book is that it ends. By the way for you loyal fan {which I was before this one} she makes many mistakes about the people who live in the town of "Jacobville" that will have you saying just who wrote this book. Don't give up on this author many of her other books are very good, just not this one.
