I have been reading this genre since, well, as far back as I can remember. S. King, C. Barker, A. Rice, amongst my favourite writers. Sergei has outdone them all. This book was so entertaining I dreaded finishing it, and actually tried to take the last few pages as slowly as possible. Only Anne Rice's Taltos has had that effect on me.
But The Twilight Watch, and indeed this whole series, is more than entertaining. I have dreamt of seeing Russia one day, and through his beautiful descriptions, I actually felt as though I've been there. He gives a real sense of the socio issues, without being cumbersome or preachy. I am so looking forward to The Last Watch.

Awesome conclusion to a great series. This whole series was quite a page turner, and the Last Watch was no exception. Each novel in the series is consistently good. I'm pretty sad that it's over.
