I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to start their own christmas traditions. The pictures are beautiful with pages that are bright, colourful & animated. I purchased this book for my three adult children so that they could continue the tradition with my grandchildren, thankyou so much to amazon for delivering within three days!!

I purchased this book for a descent amount of money, thinking it would be something that i could create a tradition of reading it to my children. It is just your run of the mill children's book and should cost between $10 and $20.

I did further research and learned that there is no original edition. The poem was written and more recently, pictures have been added. This book is the poem, primarily on one page, and then a bunch of drawings done to look old and they are not even in an organized fashion.

The originator of this book could have done a lot better job at composing the book, used better paper stock, and charged a lot less.

We absolutely love this book. Many special memories so far with it.
I only take it out on Christmas eve. Part of our special traditions. The illustrations are fantastic and the aesthetic of the cover is timeless.

I bought this book for my husband as it was a cherished book from childhood and our son ripped the pages of his original one last year at xmas. It took a long time to find and succussfully purchase thid one. I was very pleased by the price of this book; however, when I received it, most of the revolving pages were ripped and cannot be used in the way it is meant to be. This was not stated in the discription when I was looking to purchase it. I am having a difficult time trying to find someone who is able to repair it as it is not just a simple fix, and do not really want to buy another one hoping it will be in better condition. All in all, I am still happy to atleast have it in the house, even though we cannot read it the way it should be.

Very nice book, the problem is with the animated windows, they are incredibly dark and make it a little bit of an eye sore on such colorful pages. My kids would take a moment or two to figure out what the image was or what it was doing. Overall it's okay but I think the book would have been fantastic on its own without these black images.

Couldn't recommend this edition highly enough. The illustrations are beautiful and bring the magic of Christmas to life for both young and old. It truly is an heirloom edition made all the more special by the brass christmas stocking bookmark.

Gorgeous...that is the best word to describe this book.

Christian Birmingham's illustrations create the pictures of the story that we all have in our heads...but alas, cannot paint ourselves.

What makes this book different from the rest of the Night Before Christmas books is the illustrations. The pictures are that of a traditional victorian home. The detail is incredible. Purchasing this book is probably one of the best buys I have ever made. We enjoy this book not only every day in December, but throughout the year.

I just received my book after only ordering it TWO days ago! I was surprise with how great quality this book is. I bought it for a gift for a baby boy and am very happy because I know it will last quite some time! I definitely recommend this item! :)

I think this book was great at the start. St.Nicholas would go all around the world to the good girls and boys and put candy in their stockings. St.Nick would start each Christmas Eve with a shout to all his deer. I enjoyed this book.
