5.0 out of 5 stars When the unthinkable happens!, Nov. 4 2010
This review is from: Parenting After the Death of a Child: A Practitioner's Guide (Hardcover)
Hello,

I would like to make a referral recommendation that may be helpful not only for bereavement facilitators but also the many parents and families who are suffering from a loss of a child.
Dr. Jennifer Buckle and Dr. Stephen Fleming have recently published a book titled, Parenting after the Death of a Child, ISBN 978-0-415-99573-3. available through Amazon.ca.

I am a bereaved parent as I have lost my 19 year old son to a highly aggressive teen cancer in 2007 and know first hand how overwhelming a death of a child can effect one's coping and parenting ability.

This is a researched based book sharing the real life stories of bereaved parents offering insight, help and hope as an additional tool of support.
I highly recommend this book to bereavement facilitators, parents, family alike who have lost a child while continuing to parent their surviving children, a difficult position to say the least. This book is a most helpful tool when the unthinkable happens!

Sincerely,
Tina Pernica
