5.0 out of 5 stars really good
I'm glad i managed to find a copy for under $20, it's going for around $100 now. I read the other two and then spent a year trying to get this first one. It was well worth the wait, though i'm not sure if it was the best of the trilogy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too Much Mysterio
The Gathering of the Sinister Six is over all a good book, but I think Adam-Troy Castro gave it the wrong title! It should have a title containing "Mysterio". I was looking forward to reading a great Sinister Six story, but it seemed like the Six was a side story, and the hole thing was about Mysterio! But don't take me wrong, Mysterio is one of my all time...

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Book, April 19 2004
This review is from: Spider Man The Gathering Of The Sinister Six (Paperback)
This book written by Adam-Troy Castro is a very good read and the beginning of the exceptional Sinister Six trilogy. The only gripe I have with his book is that it really only deals with Mysterio as he wreaks havoc to many. The actual "Gathering of the Sinister Six"(done by the Chameleon) is a very small part of the book. This book should've atleast been given a subtitle relating to Mysterio. Other than that, it's an exciting piece of Marvel fiction that will likely entertaining to even those who aren't too enthusiastic about Marvel heroes.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is by far the best Spidey novel I have ever read., Oct 30 2000
This review is from: Spider Man The Gathering Of The Sinister Six (Paperback)
This book has it all. Great fight scenes, wonderful dialog, and an ending that has you on the edge of your seat. I especially liked the part where Spidey webs the explosion-loving director's mouth shut after going on the warpath about Spidey ruining the scene.

5.0 out of 5 stars GOOD GOD! THE VILLIAN KNOWS SPIDY'S SECRET IDENTITY?!, Oct 25 2000
This review is from: Spider Man The Gathering Of The Sinister Six (Paperback)
I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT THIS BOOK HAS THE POTNETIAL TO BE ONE OF THE BEST IN THE SERIES. WELL I DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE SINESTER SIX. I AM SURE YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE. BUT THER IS THIS OTHER VILLIAN WHO IS VERY STRANGE AND THEN THERE IS THIS OTHER GIRL WHO APPEARS TO BE PETER'S SISTER??!! THOUGH THE BOOK HAS BEEN TITLED THE SISESTER SIX, THE FIRST VOLUME IS MOSTLY ABOUT THAT HOLLYWOOD STANT MAN, WHAT WAS HIS NAME? CAN'S WAIT FOR THE NEXT PART. HAVE FUN READING IT

I think that this is one of the best Marvel Books I have read. My favorite part was during the Broadway when the shark came out of nowhere and ruined the play. In the end when Peter and Mary Jane are looking through the photo album and they found out he has a sister. I think that his sister is Pity. Yet you never with these kind of books.

4.0 out of 5 stars I cant wait, Wheres part II?, May 11 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Spider Man The Gathering Of The Sinister Six (Paperback)
This book is great, I've been a Spidey fan since I was on elementary school. I've read most of the Spiderman novels, and this one is great. I read it in two days, The story is very good; you want more and more.

The author really knows how to tell the story. The strange man trying to gather the six and the unknown Pitty. I cannot wait to see the Six in action again and how Spiderman will deal with them again. The other story on the book, the story of Mysterio and his vengeance is great. Too bad I haven't found book two yet. I cannot wait to read the next part.

Good work on this one Adam.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the top Spidey novels in the series., Feb 11 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Spider Man The Gathering Of The Sinister Six (Paperback)
Spidey has the greatest cast of villians in the comics. Here in this wonderful book by Adam Troy-Castro, the Sinister Six are gathered by a mysterious man who has some kind of secerat plan to destroy Spider-Man. The ending of this book only makes you wonder what plan this will form into. According to more recent information from the publisher, Book Two of this trilogy should be out in late 2000 and Book Three sometime in 2001. I can wait for it.
