* If you loved fifty shades, you will love this, i read it in a day and a half. It is a great read, like fifty shades, its romatic and sexy.I cant wait for the next one!! Sylvia day wrote this wonderfully. very sexy, not quite as "raunchy" as fifty shades. but still very detailed and sexy

lack of originality,

This review is from: Bared to You: A Crossfire Novel (Paperback)
This book was unoriginal.. i had just finished the 50 shades trilogy and wanted more.. So i was told to read this one.. It was mostly a bad copy of the 50 shades books. Instead of ana it was eva.. it was uneventful and i kept thinking of the 50 shades when reading this book. It's a good read IF you didn't read 50 shades of grey otherwise you'll be disapointed and or left thinking i still want more of 50 shades and not of bared to you.I would not recommend this book after reading 50 shades of grey's trilogy.. Otherwise then yes it's an ok book

B Version of Fifty Shades,

I found Bared to You a B-version of Fifty Shades of Grey. The similarities are outstanding, however, on its own it is a very good book. If you have not read Fifty you will definitely enjoy this book. Even if you did read Fifty it is good. It took me a while to lose myself in the story because the similarities kept jumping out at me but then I was totally engrossed in the story. What is Gideon hiding? It keeps nagging at you throughout and entices you to try and figure out. Suspense is always a good thing in a book and this one has it. I am looking forward to next book Deeper into You. Hopefully it will answer a few questions and probably bring out more. Definitely a must read. Enjoyable.

Disappointed at a copy cat!!!,

This review is from: Bared to You: A Crossfire Novel (Paperback)
This book was a total copycat of 50 Shades. In fact this book was far too similar to 50 Shades, the similarities were rediculous. The love scenes were rather disappointing with "harsh" terms that were used that I couldn't even repeat and didn't do much for me at all. In every part of 50 Shades, this book's similarities of the rich, messed up man was too much! Even down to the names that his girlfriend created for him, the rich beautiful ex and it goes on and on!! Everyone is described as being totally gorgeous, perfect and hot. A little far fetched I think! After reading this book hoping for a similar style of writing, I was sadly disappointed by the attempt to recreate the same book. A quick read but it doesn't leave me wanting more information like I did with the other one. I wouldn't recommend it.

I am one of the few who did not enjoy 50 Shades of Grey, I was told to try this one as it's similar but better....and that's true! It better written and has a female lead character I can relate to. I'm looking forward to the second one coming out.

Crossfire - A rip-off??,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bared to You: A Crossfire Novel (Paperback)
I have read the Fifty Shades trilogy and whilst I agree the "he touched my THERE" and "he then got his RELEASE" type writing got too repetitive (multiple orgasms and overuse of certain phrases to the extreme!!), I found the actual storyline quite gripping. By mid-way through the second book, I was skipping the 'naughty bits' but found I couldn't put it down. I feel that Bared to You is too similar story-wise so far to the Fifty Shades Trilogy and whilst the writing is most certainly better, if you've read and enjoyed Fifty Shades then you may be a little disappointed with this. The descriptive detail is certainly more graphic but to me, the story being so similar was a bit too predictable. That said, I have ordered the sequel and am hoping it develops more away from the Fifty shades story, as it certainly has promise and seems better written!

Lived up to the hype,

I purchased this book because of recommendations that I heard from others. A great read - lived up to the hype. Purchasing online also eliminated any embarassment from purchasing it in person.

Way better than "50 Shades" LOVED IT!!,

I Loved Bared To You! Although it was similar to 50 Shades, the overall story line, editing, and character development was leaps and bounds ahead of 50 Shades. I find the love scenes in the book far more original and keep your attention unlike fifty Shades, who used the same couple of words to describe every love scene and body part. while 50 Shades repeated itself over and over again, this author was able to convey what she wanted in a new and exciting way every time. No filler here! The crossfire series may resemble 50 Shades series, but if it is better written, with a far superior storyline and characters, then who cares! Cant wait for the next two books.

A great book - in some ways, better than 50 shades because the characters seem more 'real' and 'like the rest of us' who aren't just out of university/college or super thin; no matter your age.I can hardly wait for the next book.

Did not pull me in like the 50 Shades books did, but it was a good read. Hopefully book 2 will be better and show more chemistry between them that was lacking in this one.
