This book was amazing. It was filled with different short stories by different jewish children and teens during world war 2. It's filled with their honest, terrifying, sad stories. Each person had a different experience and each one is enough to make you want to cry.

This was one of the first Holocaust books I've read and now that I've read more I've realized how special this book really is. This one really stands out. A friend recommended it to me, I never would have even heard of it before since it doesn't seem to be very well known but I highly recommend it. It's fantastic you wont be dissapointed.

I was surprised at the brevity of this book, and large print seemingly to fill space? I did however climb right in and read it in one sitting easily. The stories were enlightning as I did not consider some of the particular instances in survival.

I bought this as a gift for my Mom - as she is an older gal and loves reading stories like this. I was disappointed when it arrived as it seemed more like something for a child to read than an adult. It is a scholastic book - for anyone who has ever ordered them for thier children - and it is exactly that. I was a little embarassed to give it as a gift to an adult - but I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it. My Mom said it was 'okay' but didn't love it.
