We love Robert Munsch stories. The crazy randomness and creativity makes this book great for my little audience! My daughter loves the fun pictures and my son loves the loud parts. I would recommend this book to anyone with kids.

My daughters love Robert Munsch's stories. These collections are perfect as they have more than one story. I bought hardcovers so they will stand the test of time.

Robert Munsch is a very creative and entertaining writer, my 5-yr old son rolls around laughing at the imagery and the illustrations are excellent. Munsch aims at building childrens' confidence in themselves and teaches them to like themselves and to accept other people for who and what they are. But sometimes I feel his characters are a bit too assertive, in his story "Up, up, down" the little girl calls her mom and dad "a dirty rascal", that for me is crossing the boundaries of politeness and appropriate behaviour. Maybe I'm a bit too uptight, but that was the only part I didn't like in the entire book, I just told my son that it wasn't a nice thing to say to her mom and dad. All of the other stuff is pretty funny. The poems are ok as well.
