I loved it and the action!,

This review is from: Kiss and Tell (Mass Market Paperback)
Marnie is a quirky but courageous young woman who goes to stay at her deceased Grandmother's home which is a cabin in the woods. The cabin was not in good condition but Marnie wanted time alone to come to grips with her life and make decisions towards life changes.Jake is a grumpy soldier who is still licking his wounds out in hide-a-way in the woods. He's expecting trouble but never expected it to come with a little blonde torpedo who turns his life into a whirlwind. I really enjoyed this book. It's packed with action, adventure, spunk and great dialogue between the characters. I loved Marnie, she's full of spunk and always has lots to say. She had me laughing throughout the book and worrying how she would fair everything that happened as well. Though Jake acted like the grumpy old troll who lived under the bridge I liked him to because as your read you get to know him for the person he really is under all that gruff. It also helped that he is seriously hot. If your like me and you love a great action/romance novel then ya got to read this one! The best part of it all though is that it's a series and there many more books like it to read!!! Be sure to add it to your must read list! 5 STARS!!!!!

First let me tell you that I am primarily a Historical Romance buff. With the exception of a few serial contemporaries I tend to stick to the Historical genre and never do I read the long Contemporaries. Until Now. Kiss and Tell landed on my recommendation list so I decided to give it a try and boy what a ride. Immediately I was hooked could not put the book down. I think I stayed up half the night reading it. As there are 100 other reviews I will not bore you with the details. But the book is exciting and fresh. Our hero and Heroine are likable and well defined. All you want is for them to beat all the odds. At the same time holding your breath as you turn the page wanting to know what could possible happen next. I hooked now on Cherry Adair.

Hot & sensual read.....,

Marnie Wright grew up with four older brothers who smothered her because of a heart condition as a child. Now that she's twenty-seven, she's tired of taking the path of least resistance. She's finally going to do something with her life. When her Grammy died, Marnie decided to stay in the cabin up in the mountains. There she meets Jake Dolan, a hard-edged, antisocial guy with the most sensuous mouth she's ever seen...When Jake meets Marnie, the last thing he wants is a woman to complicate things, especially since he's there on a mission to find to people who are trying to frame him as a mole in the T-FLAC government agency. When a tree falls on Marnie's cabin, and Jake comes to find her, he takes her to his underground lair where she finds that he's top-secret military. This book was wonderful. I loved the way Marnie flattened every attempt Jake had to keep her away. She was such a strong character. Jake was a very sexy and mysterious man with a past. The events these two go through on the path of love is funny, sensuous, and heart-breaking. This book is recommended very highly by me, and it will always have a place on my shelf.

My kind of book!,

This is one of my favorite kind of books. I'd guess you'd call it 'action-romance'. Ha! I enjoy a second plot going on at the same time the romance is happening & lots of action. This one had it. Unfornately, a couple of things about this one were a little too unbelievable, but I was still able to enjoy it. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys adventure-romance. Surely, CA is going to cover Marnie's (our heroine) brothers stories next - or maybe she already has since this was written in 2000. I'll definitely be picking them up.

This review is from: Kiss and Tell (Mass Market Paperback)
Marnie Wright escapes her four protective brothers and father to go alone into the mountains to grieve for the loss of her beloved grandmother, who raised her. While there she disturbs a 'mountain man' in a nearby cabin, who gruffly warns her away. The same man comes to her rescue when a storm destroys her grandmothers cabin. Even so, it is not until armed men invade the mountainside that Marnie discovers her mountain man is ex-military, presumed guilty of being a mole and now hunted by both sides. Jake Dolan has holed up in his 'secret underground ultra-secure lair' but now that Marnie is exposed to danger, he feels compelled to protect her. And as time goes on and he gets to know her, he cannot deny the attraction between them.Don't let the seemingly hackneyed plot put you off. This is a very readable book, full of excellent characters and some heart stopping action. All the male characters are very strong and powerful, charismatic in their own way. Marnie herself is more than able to hold her own, not only in terms of the physical strength required, but emotional strength also - with her family and with Jake. The Wright family dynamics are great, and although much of the book has Jake and Marnie alone, nevertheless the supportive family feeling pervades the text of the book. The tension - sexual as well as suspense - is well constructed and taut. The action pieces, in terms of Jakes hidey hole and the various assaults from friend and foe are obviously well thought out and tensely believable. Here's one reader looking forward to reading more about both the Wright brothers and the black ops team.

A book you don't want to miss...,
This review is from: Kiss and Tell (Mass Market Paperback)
Marnie Wright has gone to her grandmother's cabin in the mountains of Northern California for some soul searching. Her grandmother had told her to live her life to it's fullest, but she didn't realize what she'd meant until after she was dead. So Marnie retreated to her cabin to figure out what she wanted to do for the rest of her life and how she wasn't going to accomplish it. The last thing she expected to find on the mountain was a cold and cynical man with more scars inside than anyone she'd ever met.Jake Dolan was put on suspension from T-FLAC, which is an organization that goes after terrorists for whomever hires their services. Still smarting after being accused of being a traitor, Jake goes to the only place he's ever found peace. The last thing he expected to find was a blond bombshell with more guts than brains and the biggest heart he's ever encountered in a person. Jake and Marnie come together in a storm of sparks and desire that just won't quit. Cherry Adair brings the reader danger and desire in this story about love and betrayal. Adair also introduces the readers to the other Wright brothers whom the reader will fall a little in love with. This is the first book of the Wright series and I look foward to all the other books in the series.

This one isn't as steamy as some of the Black Lace books but it was okay for a romance. It has a good plot and a good character base.

I have to say that "Kiss and Tell," was the best out of the three book series of the Wright siblings, I loved Marnie, Duchess (the great dane) and Jake. But overall, the action, the suspense and the hot sex!!! were exceptionally well written in all three books. Now, I can't wait to read about Kane and Derek. C'mon, Cherry!, starting writing.

Pretty thin plot and the chatacters are not stellar, but I guess I'm just comfortable with her style, because I enjoyed reading this book. I would just like to see the installment writers push themselves more and maybe take some chances with the direction of the storylines and the characters. This book suffers from an all to familiar predictability
