5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book
This is one of the most well written technical books I have read. The content is broken down very well and if you have ever had trouble with subnetting this book will make it so easy you will wonder why never understood it before.

2.0 out of 5 stars OK, but why bother
I will agree somewhat with Drummond. This book is written in a somewhat informal and "Laid Back" style, which may be what your looking for. It did tend to get on my nerves and add alot of useless "padding". I'd say all the information is in there though, with lot's of good diagrams. There really isn't much on the CD, if it says "videos" this means literally 2 videos...

I will say Todd Did a pretty good job for a "One man show" effort but that is not much ammo to go up against Cisco Press who is writing there own books. These are much much better in my opinion.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very poorly written, July 25 2008

I cannot stand books like this. The writing style makes me believe the author audio-recorded one of his CCNA boot camps and directly transcribed that to text. The way most of us speak is not suitable for the written word. I'm sure the technical content is fine, but I couldn't get past the first few pages without wanting to gouge my eyes out. Reading the text is like nails on a blackboard.

The content is also very scattered. The author keeps throwing out terms and following them up with "don't worry, I'll explain that later". No clear, clean, purposeful progression.

And he actually used the word "lame". Seriously.

The manuals I received as part of my CCNA Boot Camp are much better organised. I will be attempting to return this book.
