Solid How-To Book,
By
This review is from: Multiple Streams of Internet Income: How Ordinary People Make Extraordinary Money Online (Paperback)
In "Multiple Streams of Internet Income" Allen points the way to using the Internet as a vehicle for attracting wealth and the personal freedom that comes with wealth. The book covers marketing fundamentals as well as how to apply those principles to the special needs and opportunities of the Internet. In addition, it covers specific opportunities and techniques unique to the Internet and how to use them to make money. (For example, selling links and web-site affiliations). And, of course, it covers more traditional manners of generating income such as advertising, auctions, niche marketing, etc. One of the best things about the book is the detail with which he goes over the process from beginning to end and all of the options in between. This produces a repeatable framework that anyone can use to follow Robert Allen's footsteps. The bottom line is that the Internet is probably the fastest and easiest method for making a lot of money in the current economy. Following the principles and techniques set forth in "Multiple Streams of Internet Income" the average person should be able to create sources of recurring online income. Recommended for those wishing to pursue using the internet as a source of either primary or secondary income.

I receive so much spam from Allen, or from people hawking his "get rich quick" schemes, that buying anything written by this guy, even if he is a "genius", would only reward bad behaviour thus making me party to the scourge of spam. Since I have no desire to be part of the problem, I choose to be part of the solution by not buying any products or services from those who spam, even if the products or services would otherwise be interesting, not to suggest that Allen's is."Multiple Streams of Internet Income: How Ordinary People Make Extraordinary Money Online" - in a word, spam! If Allen was such a maven of marketing, he would not have to alienate huge swaths of the population to achieve his goals.

After reading this book, the only conclusion I came up with is that we "Hard Working, Middle Class Americans will almost always be fooled by Author like this Capitalizing on our ignorance of these quick money making scams, this book those nothing but to draw the average reader into his other "Get Rich Scams". Their is no solid information here as to how to go about it properly step by step sound financial advise, however some reviewer here indicate that at least it should be taking as ideas, but even then, the bottom line always will remains shallow.America will always fall short of these predators, Keep in mind that this author (Scammer) those not have any proven track record of making, building or helping in creating wealth for anyone that you know of other than DREAMS of becoming rich. By this time, we should have learned our lessons from past experiences with people like Robert Allen. Invest the price of this book on a nice dinner for your significant other, He/she will love that investment.

The Marketeer,
This review is from: Multiple Streams of Internet Income (Hardcover)
Robert Allen is a brilliant "marketeer" i.e. he has found brilliant ways of making money off seminars and book sales. He did this by following trends: The first one was the Cult of Nothing Down in the 80s, then came a wacky vitamin MLM and now there is The First Church of Multiple Streams of Income. It involves "connecting with the universe" etc. Oh, and don't forget to buy this book as well as attend a seminar. Like I said the man is a great "marketeer".

Little More than a How to Get Author Rich Scheme,
By A Customer
This review is from: Multiple Streams of Internet Income (Hardcover)
While Allen does have a track record, and this is not quite a Get Rich Quick scheme, this book is more about Allen making people buy his book than providing solid ideas about how to financially help them. While he does provide some good ideas and strategies, so too do several others, like Michael Levine's Guerrilla PR: Wired.I'm not saying a person can't find some good ideas in this book. And there are people who continually fall for the Get Rich Quick schemes that proliferate out there like mosquitoes. But, if you're looking for a book that's chock-full of solid and fundamentally sound strategies about making money off of Internet users, this may not be your best bet.

Good overview about how to make money on the net,
By
This review is from: Multiple Streams of Internet Income (Hardcover)
Multiple streams of Internet Income by Robert Allen is an excellent book for those considering starting a web based business or those interested in learning more about the world wide web and how businesses are marketing to them. The world wide web is truly transforming the global economy despite what the stock market might be stating. I would highly recommend this book for those not familiar with formal marketing strategy or those seeking to learn more about the Internet and various business opportunities available. Some excellent marketing books / concepts quoted include the 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing, Influence, Permission Marketing and Viral marketing ï¿buzz marketing or word of mouth.ï¿The new economy is knowledge based and based on expansive communication networks that grow in importance as related groups / interested parties meet each other and conduct business. Mr. Allen clearly understands this and I give him kudos for pursuing such an endeavor. Here are the pros and cons of the books.....a personal opinion: Pros: 1. The book is very broad and talks about sales, marketing and advertising, which is rare in such books 2. The book provides Allenï¿s example via his business. 3. The book was well written 4. Many excellent marketing books are quoted. Cons 1. This book is a sales pitch. Mr. Allen clearly has ï¿sales copyï¿ experience which makes the book interesting but definitely somewhat misleading. He knows what he is doing and he has a VERY successful marketing / product track record. As a result, he is very successful in his Internet trials / examples. He has customers that already know about him, have purchased his products for the last 20 years and others that are interested. He doesnï¿t mention this in the book enough and marketing costs are a HUGE variable cost to businesses. This will likely result in readers being too optimistic about their ability to generate wealth on the web. 2. The book was written by several co-authors. It seems as though Allen, in a rush to get the book out, heavily relied on so called ï¿expertsï¿ within various parts of Internet Marketing. 3. He plugs various peopleï¿s products that are not that good. I have perused many of these products and it is hit and miss. Some are good and some are not so good. My final thoughts on the book are this: Read it. It is worth the time for beginners. For those seeking a wide exposure to marketing/advertising/sales in an Internet world it is well worth it. There are some pitfalls though that I canï¿t overemphasize. Any business, irregardless of distribution channel, is a lot of work. Internet businesses require hard work, lots of sweat, lots of perseverance, lots of testing, lots of learning and, for those interested, they can be very fulfilling opportunities. If you are trying to make major money or simply pursue a hobby online via a personal website this book is worth reading. Most of my reviews are in business / economics and I encourage people to read them, whether here on Amazon or at my personal website. If you are interested in economic history book I would encourage everyone to read The Worldly Philosophers by Robert Heilbroner since it is more international in scope and deals with the lives and times of the most famous economists in history. If you are interested in economic development / evolution of U.S. property history I would encourage you to read Hernando DeSoto's Mystery of Capital but note his lack of focus on corruption in certain countries. A great general business book is by the management guru Peter Drucker entitled "The Essential Drucker."

I've applied Robert G. Allen's techniques to my Prepaid Legal business on the Internet and I am delighted to report that his ideas are quickly affording me the opportunities to engage in activities and leisure time pursuits that were previously off limits because of financial constraints. If you are interested in seeing how someone takes Robert's advice and manifests it into a tangible income stream, take a look at the following websites I've established as a result of reading Robert's work:If you are seeking opportunities and guidance into becoming more financially successful, Robert Allen is the mentor you will want to keep consulting. What You Don't Know could[ hurt] ]you!,

Without a winning income, most people will sometime be in the unemployment line. What is striking about Robert G. Allen's book "Multiple Streams of Internet Income" is that he started in an unemployment line with a few chosen 'welfare' type people and built them into successful private investors, who went on to become very wealthy! Robert G. Allen is correct when he says that the ordinary person on Social Security at retirement time is left in the status of 'poverty'. His book addresses the challenges of the New Economy with a typical grasp on success that all his books have. Reading this latest book of his will educate the reader in just what is needed to meet the challenges of the New Economy; with plain 'TONS' of interesting business know-hows that prove that Robert G. Allen is truely a "millionaire Maker"!!

"Robert Allen has done it again!",

This review is from: Multiple Streams of Internet Income (Hardcover)
I just finished this book--couldn't put it down. I have to agree with the negative reviewers of this book, Mr. Allens challenge to make $24,000 in 24 hours was scamful (is that a word?). Considering the fact that he was already a well known author and real-estate goo rue. This ploy was only a great publicity stunt, not so different from P.T. Barnum and others who have attained a high level of success. It's true, Mr. Allen did pander his web-site as well as all of his books and tape sets in excess, and this would scare some thin-skinned readers away. Now for the good stuff: whether this information is outdated or not, the internet is where it's at. Much of his book was authored by people who had gone from simple ideas to making millions of dollars online. With constantly growing traffic and all the garbage on the net there's never a better time than now to do it! Robert Allen pulls no punches and lets the reader know this business takes a lot of work and research. It is neither stated or implied that this is a get-rich-quick scheme. Roberts writing style is impeccable, especially for a writer of how-to books. This book seemed more like a suspense novel. I loved it and highly recommend it.

This Book Works! I'm Now Making Money Using This Book.,
By "jmays15" (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Multiple Streams of Internet Income (Hardcover)
I followed most of the instructions in Robert Allen's book, and am making money on the internet as a result of it. This book provides step-by-step instructions on how to1) Generate an idea. 2) Create an internet business based on the idea. 3) Market the idea to make money. The example Robert Allen gives of making money in 24 hours is not very reasonable for most people, for anyone really. However, I was able to generate income in 8 days from my web site's launch and it hasn't stopped! I've read several books before starting my internet business, cybermasons.com, and this was by far the best. You can't go wrong with this book. The proof is in the sales! |
