I was originally a little worried about pre-ordering this book not knowing whether the authors would have any fresh new ideas. Thankfully I was not dissapointed and can't wait to try out some of the cupcakes in this book! The book offers a few new techniques, designs, and materials suggestions that almost anyone can find at the local candy or bulk foods store. I like this book (along with Karen Tacks other cupcake books, which I also recommend) because they open your mind to the different possibilities and creativeness that you can add to your baking.

The majority of the content in the book is best suited for use when decorating your cupcakes. If you're looking for a recipes book, you won't find much here, though on the plus side, if you have a favorite recipe of your own already, this is a good book to use when you're looking for a way to "jazz" them up! I like the use of candy clay in this book (though they do tend to use it a LOT). I still give it five stars for its ingenuity and creativeness however, if I had one critique it would be that some of the candy is specific to American markets so you may not be able to find it in Canada.

These are fun and funky cupcakes. They are a little more complexe than the previous book and alot of them are an entire cake instead opf cupcakes

I bought these cupcake books for a shower gift and she said they were awesome. The pictures have great detail and they don't take a lot of time to put together.
They are great gift for someone who loves to bake.
