Aromatherapy Treasure,

This review is from: Fragrant Pharmacy (Paperback)
This reference book has an extensive collection of recipes for essential oil therapies. The book is divided into chapters according to ailments and includes a description of the ailment as well as specific remedies recommended according to different symptoms of each ailment. It explains several different methods of use, some of them innovative. It also has useful appendices that include a quick reference essential oil chart indicating properties of each oil, parts to use, country of origin, how to do an aromatherapy massage, a list of useful addresses, as well as a list of oils to avoid. An index is also included. One of the most complete works I have seen on the subject. Should be a part of every practioner's library.

The BEST book on Aromatherapy & Essential Oils - Great Reference!,
By MagicMan (Nova Scotia, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fragrant Pharmacy (Paperback)
This is one of my key and fundamental reference books in my library. An excellent and organized reference book including everything you ever wanted to know about the characteristics of essential oils, how they're used and a myriad of creative, industrious ways to use them around you home and in your life -- from the most basic to some very advanced information. It is rare to find a book that becomes your definitive source on a particular topic, but I refer to Fragrant Pharmacy often, and recommend it to anyone interested in the creative and effective use of essential oils. (Also recommend that if you are using essential oils as part of your spiritual practice or holistic lifestyle, it is an Excellent companion to The Master Book of Herbalism by Paul Beryl. These two books are the cornerstone of my library when it comes to working with the mundane and spiritual aspects of plants in their many forms.)

My potions,

This review is from: Fragrant Pharmacy (Paperback)
When I first received this book I was a bit overwhelmed, it is my first time with esential oils and I had no idea what I was doing. This book makes even me feel confident to use. I have made up some secret potions as I call them and have given them to friends to use on dry nails, eczema, etc. I love the smells. Then I discovered the receipes, I didn't even know you could use these for food. Makes sense, but I never thought of it. Very good book to have, my husband was dx with cancer last year and we have been doing a lot of natural living, so this book fits great with our new life style. Love it
