5.0 out of 5 stars OUSTANDING! (Is it historical fiction?)
This is probably the best series of books I have ever read (I haven't read Tolkien yet. I KNOW, I'm sorry!). I just cannot say enough good things about this book series. I literally read it 3 times through, and each time I can relate to a different character and come to see it from their perspective.
The way that Tracy and Margaret bring the characters to life...

2.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars, the minimum you can give a Deathgate Cycle book.
I have never been very much into reviews, but some books just call for it, and Deathgate Cycle's just one of those series. I of course, give Into the Labyrinth five stars for many reasons, other than plot and character development which are always strong throughout the series. As the sixth book of the series, Ino the Labyrinth still manages to surprise the reader and make...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best, June 11 1998
This review is from: Into the Labyrinth (Mass Market Paperback)
This Series written by Weis and Hickman is the greatest work of fantasy literature that I have ever had the pleasure of reading. This novel has everything you can ask for, action, answers to questions, and insights on new characters- Xar and Marit. This is the second to last book in the series and the last one is the best but this one is great too, If you havn't had a chance to read this series, you must do so for this is one of the greatest series of all time.

5.0 out of 5 stars The age old enemies stuggle to discover their destiny, May 30 1998
By
This review is from: Into the Labyrinth (Mass Market Paperback)
This book brings together the various particpants that of the previous work and adds additional complexity to the trechery proposed by the two "Godlike" groups. The misterioius XAR now becomes a prime character and his desire to learn more about the armies of the undead and use them to rule the 4 worlds. The addition of the power of the surpents is being realized and the trechery that they provide complicates the previous straighforward battle of the "Gods". The character development is very outstanding and of the first 5 books this is by far the finest and most exciting . One of the best works I have ever read.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great 6th book in a 7 book series...start with volume 1!, March 20 1998

This review is from: Into the Labyrinth (Mass Market Paperback)
This book answers alot of questions which had been left open from previous books. Many chapters are told from the perspective of Xar, Lord of the Nexus, allowing the reader to see into the mind of this previously mysterious character. In addition, by the end if this book, Haplo comes to terms with who he is, what he stands for, and what he wants to accomplish. I would give this series the highest possible recommendation. The Death Gate Cycle is thoroughly readable and a ton of fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally spellbinding, Feb. 20 1998

This review is from: Into the Labyrinth (Mass Market Paperback)
Having read all of Weis and Hickmans books I was expectig a lot out of The Death Gate Cycle. And boy did I get it! Into the Labyrinth was probably my favorite of the series, that and Serpent Mage. It was well written, action filled. All in all it was quite a book I would recomend it to ANYONE. If you have not read the series yet, READ IT. And if you have, read it again. Books as good as these deserve to be read again and again. My favorite part was the battle of abri and the "Coren" part. For what it is worth I think it was one of Weis and Hickmans best, and one of the best ever writen!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Oh it was Good!, Jan. 11 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: INTO THE LABYRINTH (Hardcover)
I loved this book. For all of you Haplo and Alfred fans, this is the book. It was very interesting and pretty funny. But if you are one of those"Oh no there is trouble, scandle and violence. Oh what shall I do?" kind of person then this book is not for you. But if you like the gothic, yet funny, kind of fantasy, then you will love it. Thats all I have to say about that. ~Liya
