This book tells what happens to Dawn Rochelle. But to understand this they should read Dawn Rochelle Four Novels. What her principal says, at her high school gradution sums it up, "At 13, she got luekemia. Then she went into remission. But she came out of it. At 14, she had a bone marrow transplant, that put it back in remission. At 17, she had a stroke. Now she is standing before you all, healthy." This is a great book for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Love for That We Cannot Express", Mar 24 2004

This review is from: To Live Again (Mass Market Paperback)
Before I started reading "To Live Again", I always thought that endings to other book were supposed to end happily ever after. Like the man falls for the women or visa versa. Now I have a whole new perspective of life and I don't take things for granted as often as I use too. I love this book and I recomend that you read this book, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Battling to be normal, July 22 2003
By
Krista Schrader (Jacksonville, NC USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: To Live Again (Mass Market Paperback)
Dawn, in this book, has been living a normal life without any relapses for about a year so when she gets sudden dizzy spells and tingling on the left side of her body, she doesn't look at it as a threat. She should have. One day, while at school, she has another attack and passes out. She is rushed to the hospital and is told that she has had a stroke. This shocks her seeing as she's only 17 and you normally think of old people having strokes. This book tells of her struggles to learn how to talk, walk, read, and get functions of the left side of her body back. It shows her determination to be normal, and how it works to make her better.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Lurlene McDaniel books, Oct 26 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: To Live Again (Mass Market Paperback)
The fifth book in the Dawn Rochelle series definitely does not disappoint. After battling leukemia since the age of thirteen, Dawn Rochelle has tried to return her life back to normal, one way by going to school. When Dawn has numb feelings in her hands, she doesn't pay any attention, not thinking of it as a problem. One day, in the school cafeteria, she experiences another spasm and collapses. When taken to the hospital, she and her family find out that she had a stroke. Dawn is devastated; she has to learn to talk, eat, dress, and all of the easy things that took no attention in doing. She continues with schoolwork at home, determined to graduate with the rest of her class. Dawn's determination finally pays off and she experiences what it's like to live again. This was an incredible book, a compliment to the other novels in the series. Definitely read this and the other four for a very touching and inspiring story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sensational, Jun 11 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: To Live Again (Mass Market Paperback)
Wow. I just finished Lurlene McDaniel's To Live Again and I thought it was sensational. When I finished Dawn Rochelle: Four Novels I thought I'd scream from the suspense before reading this book. Dawn Rochelle's health problems come back to haunt her in this final book of the Dawn Rochelle saga. This is a must-read for those who have read the other four novels. This is a touching, sensitive book that discusses a rather uncommon health issue among teens and young adults. Praise for McDaniel on her fine novel.

To live again was a wonderful book. The Dawn Rochelle Novels were my favorite I would love to have her come out with another one. I just bought this book yesterday and I Could not put it down, I was hoping that the book would last me awhile so I don't have to find another book, but my hands and eyes had different plans. My favorite part of the book would have to be when she told Tasha that it wasn't her fault and told her about Sandy Chandler. This book was the best!
