5.0 out of 5 stars The best Godzilla novel in this series by Marc Cerasini
One of the best Godzilla books I've ever read, this and "Godzilla 2000" are really good books. Mr. Cerasini captures everything from Godzilla's radioactive blast to the army firing their cannons and missiles at Godzilla. Godzilla is joined by Mecha King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Baragon, Angurius, MOGUERA, and a supporting cast of characters. However there...

3.0 out of 5 stars Where's Godzilla?
After reading the first three G-novels, I had high hopes for this one. When I got into it, I couldn't put it down because of Marc's astounding battle scenes. I liked MechaGodzilla's battles. And Baragon was WAY COOL! Mecha King Ghidorah was as always wicked awesome. But the title is GODZILLA VS THE ROBOT MONSTERS, and that did not happen much. The only thing that I was...

4.0 out of 5 stars A fine view of Big G, Dec 15 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Godzilla Vs. the Robot Monsters (Mass Market Paperback)
An excellent treament of Godzilla. If Mr.Cerasini would keep his politics to himself, it would be a better novel. His cheap shots detract from the plot, rather than add to it.

But the characterization are suprisingly good, and the plot works well. Too bad they cancelled the last installment in the series.

:(

However there are some pretty heavy casualties, and a few things left finished. Also, the cover to the novel is awesome.

2.0 out of 5 stars Its not great but its okay, Jun 26 2000

This review is from: Godzilla Vs. the Robot Monsters (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is an improvement on the previous one "Godzilla At World's End" but that's not saying much. The characters aren't very interesting, except for the little girl who controls Mecha-King Ghidora but there's not enough of her anyway. The monster parts are rather dull, and like in the previous book the other monsters overwhelm most of the story, leaving little room for the Big G. But that doesn't mean you sholdn't buy this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The greatest book of all time!, May 29 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Godzilla Vs. the Robot Monsters (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a great book for Godzilla fans. But it does have some flaws. I recall a guy named Pierce on G-Force in the book Godzilla 2000, what happened to him? And the girl named Tori, her name in Godzilla 2000 was Lori, what's the deal with that? But still a good book. It's about time you people turn the TV off and buy this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Godzilla rules again!, Mar 24 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Godzilla Vs. the Robot Monsters (Mass Market Paperback)
The fourth book in the now defunct series is a winner from start to finish. Unlike the previous entry, this one has a briskly paced plot. Godzilla's magma drenched emergence from a volcano is a stunner as is the creation of the cyborg Mecha-Ghidrah and madman that controls it. Another essentail G-book that no true fan would want to miss.

And Baragon was WAY COOL! Mecha King Ghidorah was as always wicked awesome. But the title is GODZILLA VS THE ROBOT MONSTERS, and that did not happen much. The only thing that I was dissappointed about was that Godzilla was a cameo character until the middle of the final chapter. Iwould have liked to see less military and more of Godzilla actually participating in the book. However, if you love Godzilla, you have to read this!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Much Better Story here, Nov 25 1999
This review is from: Godzilla Vs. the Robot Monsters (Mass Market Paperback)
Godzilla vs the Robot Monsters is Mr. Cerasini's best Godzilla novel. Very fast paced and it builds to an exciteing climax. This book really establishes Godzilla as King of the Monsters. Hope the final book; Godzilla and the Lost Continent is even better and will lead Toho to giving the apporval to Random House for Godzilla novels to be written and published on a more regular basis, written by other writers who are fans of the Godzilla movies. It would be great.

This review is from: Godzilla Vs. the Robot Monsters (Mass Market Paperback)
marc cerasini really outdid himself this time. This book is the best of the series and it kicks @$$!!! marcs knowledge of military hardware is astounding and the description of the battle scenes are masterfully written. The only thing bad about this book is you can't read it and eat a bucket of popcorn at the same time.
