OK, But Far From Complete, Oct 3 2004
This review is from: Plumbing Step-by-Step (Paperback)
Perhaps the "not-to-code" S-trap pictured on the cover should serve as a caution. As with many similar texts, the information is much too brief and leaves out many important details, necessary for the do-it-yourselfer to do a proper job, without additional information.
Valuable space is wasted with "coffee-table" type pictures rather than providing the extra important text or "down and dirty" illustrations necessary for clear and full explaination.
On the other hand, the time lines, equipment and tool requirements, and skill required, is a nice touch.
However, to the author, dump the non-technical pictures, beef up the text with greater detail and more variations (e.g. show the difference between the setup for a shower and a tub drain), and double the index entries.
