This book doesn't have the hype that surrounds it. The author gives sound examples of ways to go about making a profit. But to those who think this book will help them return big % gains within the month with little work, think again. This author strongly suggests calling the penny stock company, doing hours and hours of research, get to know the investor relations desk and visit the company. While these ideas are good for those interested in long time investments, this just doesnt work for penny stock companies, who's stock is so volatile.

I would reccomend putting this book and "Penny Stock's: The Next American Gold Rush," togeather. The other book is much better in the first place, but you should always have as much knowledge on penny stocks as possible.

Along with there not being an really really good profitable advice, the author must have wrote this on his laptop on long night flight, which went straight to the printing press. The spelling is absolutly TERRIBLE. You can hardly understand what he says. Plus there is no index.

Overall, not bad information, but not what the majority would want for fast profit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Will you discover the next Microsoft?, April 14 2004

This review is from: The Guide for Penny Stock Investing (Paperback)
While we would all love to discover the next Microsoft, what the Guide does, is put forward the research tools and guidelines that can enable an investor to focus in on the thousands of small companies and sift through the most promising ones so that the investor can make the best possible choice.

Otherwise investing in penny stocks is like playing darts. You might get lucky once or twice, but the house will win in the long run.

If on the other hand, as an investor you do have a set of guidelines to use you have a much better chance of making an educated guess that can help you determine which penny stock companies have the best chance of growing into large established companies.

Since the Guide focuses on company based and financial research it is ideal for investors who are looking to be able to fully evaluate the penny stocks they are considering investing in.

1.0 out of 5 stars A difficult Read, April 7 2004
By
"dkvid" (ANDOVER, MA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Guide for Penny Stock Investing (Paperback)
This book is very hard to read. There are so many gramatical and spelling errors that you have to read sentences over and over again to figure out what the author is trying to say. I probably won`t finish it out of frustration. I wish I could get my money back. Here`s another book that`s on its way to EBAY!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Elaborate Trading Strategies, April 2 2004

This review is from: The Guide for Penny Stock Investing (Paperback)
The Guide For Penny Stock Investing provides elaborate trading strategies that work in strong and slow markets. As a day trader, I know that it is possible to make money in both bull and bear markets as long as their is volume and price movement. The same is true for the penny stock market. As long as there is movement caused by news, there will be plenty of money to be made in penny stocks.
Research and the ability to properly apply that research is instrumental to making money with penny stocks, something that this book clearly helps with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dynamic trading strategies, Mar 29 2004
This review is from: The Guide for Penny Stock Investing (Paperback)
The trading strategies are timely and just as applicable today as when the penny stock market was at its strongest. If there is one thing that this book proves is that there are always opportunities for those who know where to look.

5.0 out of 5 stars The title says it all, Mar 15 2004
This review is from: The Guide for Penny Stock Investing (Paperback)
One of the most challenging aspects of investing in penny stocks is not having the same level of know how as the market makers do. While you still need to develop experience which comes from trial and error, the Guide does give you plenty of credible know how which you can use to even the playing field in your favor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like venture capital investing, Mar 11 2004
This review is from: The Guide for Penny Stock Investing (Paperback)
Penny stock investing is like being a venture capitalist. You often have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of developing companies that have plenty of promise ahead of them. If you remember the way venture capitalists used to invest in small Internet companies before they went public, then you will appreciate penny stock investing.
As a penny stock investor you are also out to discover small companies before the larger investment community discovers them. Donny Lowy has a great system in place that sets well defined benchmarks that an investor can use to find the most promising penny stock companies before they are discovered by the larger investment community. This book has a strong following from experienced penny stock investors, which says plenty of itself.
