This video is okay but can improve on content. I think this video is couple of years old based on the content. My son who is 2.2 years old seems to enjoy it.

These DVD are just as pleasurable for the parents as for the tots! My little guy loves this video. The songs are catchy, the Muppets/puppets have great characters - yes even the surly rat bellhop.Above and beyond the obvious counting lessons to be learned here, there are many many great tactics taught to little ones. They learn how to make work easier by using skills available, how to deal with not so nice people and how to do research! One thing I didn't know was that Sesame Street is completely non-profit. All proceeds go to help children around the world enjoy the wonderful and proven learning techniques these programs has to offer. So, now I can buy a DVD that my son loves and get the pleasure of knowing I'm doing good for someone else.

not her favorite,

My daughter is 19 months old and loves Sesame Street. But we were disappointed that she didn't like this DVD. She found the rabbit/bellhop character annoying and a little scary. He's kind of ugly and mean, and unfortunately he's the main character after Ernie. And her favorite character, Elmo, is only in one vignette. It was also too slow to hold her attention without more of her favorites like Elmo or Cookie Monster in it. She's learning to count just great without it anyway, so we'll probably just give it to someone else.

My 15-mo.-old daughter *loves* this video. It's actually a little scary how asking her if she wants to watch Ernie makes her face light up! She is starting to know her numbers, definitely from this video -- in fact I just ordered the ABC one so she is not *only* learning her numbers. It's a great video with nice bits and great songs. Three thumbs up (kid, mom and dad).

This video was just okay in my opinion. My son did learn his numbers from watching it but I found it annoying. I liked Sesame Streets The Great Numbers Game much much better.

My 2 year old daughter loves Ernie, and hence she loves this DVD. However, I think I love it more. After watching many children's tapes, DVDs, programs, etc, I think I have a well informed appreciation of puppetry and it comes no finer than in this story. The subtle (or not so subtle at times) body language of Benny the Bunny is remarkable and he truly steals the show. Ernie is also excellent and the whole story flows along at an interesting pace. Look out for the penguins! My wife and I now have a running joke every time we order fish in a restaurant!!

Counting Fun Seems to Work...,

We rented this from Netflix first and it's a current favorite. Both my 2 year old and my 3.5 year old like it and the 3 year old has learned to count from it, to 10 easily and is working on up to 20 pretty well so far. I like several of the songs (and as a musician I'm picky) and the Sesame Street characters are generally appealing (although I can live without Elmo doing Rap). A bonus was that I remember the "number nine martian cutie" song from my youth! :-)

My 8 month old daughter has been watching this video for over a month now, and she loves it! The story is fun, and the songs are very catchy. I find myself humming them at work sometimes. I highly recomend this DVD.
