I bought this book first and thought it was alright. I had done some other reading and found that the book contradicted the other info released by the various province health depts. For example you should not add cinnamon until your baby is a bit older due to allergies, and it is not advised to use the water from the carrots because of the nitrates. Another thing was the timing of foods varried from other resources. I would recommend The Baby's Table, written by a teacher and a medical doctor. Cooking for Baby by Lisa Barnes is also really good.

My 8 month old grandson came for a 2 week visit from London, England (with his parents). His mum told me she uses this book to prepare his meals. So I bought it and used it to prepare meals in advance of their visit. Its wonderful - easy recipes, good instructions and generally very informative in explaining when and what to give at various ages. It made my life much easier to be able to prepare food I knew he would eat and enjoy. I wish it had been available when my son was that age.

I haven't had the opportunity to make anything from this book yet. But I took a read-through and I'm encouraged to make my baby's own food one day. The recipes look super simple! There's great information on how to store, how long to store, and when to store. I'm glad I picked this one up. I hope my little bambina will like the food I make her!

Easy recipes to follow, with great ideas when you want to avoid anything commercial. Tips & facts are given throughout the book, like how to select bananas & which foods are high in beta-carotene. Very easy referencing, with cooking time & number of portions each recipe yields. i only question some recipes which are unsuitable for freezing, like papaya & melon, where no explanation is given.
