Clear, colorful book at a great value
ordered this book for my almost-3 year old boy who just loves trains- he loved looking at all the pictures! the book is good for children 3 and up, due to it being a fact-based/reference book. my boy will "grow on this" book which is great- that is the purpose of books- have lasting use! very colorful book with big, clear, appealing pictures, much like...

Disappointed
My 4 year old loves trains and I thought this book would teach him more about specific trains. He loves to look at photos of different trains (esp steam trains) but I was very disappointed to see that the photos were just illustrations/drawings ---don't get me wrong, they were well drawn but I had hoped to see photos instead. ordered this book for my almost-3 year old boy who just loves trains- he loved looking at all the pictures! the book is good for children 3 and up, due to it being a fact-based/reference book. my boy will "grow on this" book which is great- that is the purpose of books- have lasting use! very colorful book with big, clear, appealing pictures, much like those from DK Publishing.

My 4 year old loves trains and I thought this book would teach him more about specific trains. He loves to look at photos of different trains (esp steam trains) but I was very disappointed to see that the photos were just illustrations/drawings ---don't get me wrong, they were well drawn but I had hoped to see photos instead. This book would be for someone who like to read about the history and advancement of trains. However, he does like this book but reading it to him is challenging.
