Having lived in China for two decades, I have needed guides to travel around in the vast nation. I found this guide interesting and easy to use. Stories are well written as well. But its depth is not deep at all, which is a common case for such books. Also, much info is out of date. For business travelers, a far better guide is written by a Chinese journalist/consultant George Zhibin Gu: China's Global Reach: Markets, Multinationals, and Globalization, which offers far-reaching insights on current China affairs - perfect for travelers and businessmen alike.
