THIS BOOK IS ONE OF THE MOST VALUABLE BUSINESS SELF-HELP BOOKS ON THE MARKET. READING OR LISTENING TO JIM ROHN IS ONE OF THE BEST INVESTMENT A PERSON CAN MAKE TO GET AHEAD IN BUSINESS OR IN LIFE. A MUST HAVE!!

The book like Jim Rohn himself is straight forward and direct. He knows how to make his point clearly and amazingly effectively. His words are also simple and clear. And his the concepts "common sense". To truly understanding them and live them is a life's work.

Jim Rohn, in his book, gives great real life examples and tips because he has really lived what he writes and speaks about. His teachings have helped millions of people to better their lives and businesses and he has been influential in launching or furthering the careers of many others in the personal development industry, including Anthony Robbins, Mark Victor Hansen, Brian Tracy and Jack Canfield. Forever a student of great ideas, you can even see the influence these luminaries had on him. Not so much in this book but in his later works particularly his live presentations.

I saw him speak live before I read the book and I still find value in reading it to this day. All told the book is a great introduction or companion to his other works.

Jim Rohn is a master teacher and speaker. In this book, he gives seven strategies for success and happiness. These seven strategies are not original or new. For example, acquiring wisdom, setting and using goals, and personal development are not new concepts. However, Jim Rohn gives you SIMPLE and USEABLE ways to apply these concepts right away. Many people look for the "magic" solution on how to get rich or become happy or successful and what this books shows you is that the magic is in your discipline towards applying these concepts and improving your life.

Like all good teachers, he stresses that you have to apply your knowledge, not just absorb it passively. He also uses examples from his life and from people he has met. This is both motivational and instructive. A lot of it is common sense (another reviewer mentioned that this is nothing new). That's true! But that's why it's so powerful. Besides the quality of the content, it's pretty easy to read and not too long. I finished it in a weekend because I couldn't put it down!

I highly recommend this book as a fairly comprehensive instruction manual on how to improve your life and succeed in whatever endeavors you wish to take on

You can read all the books you want on motivation, goal setting, wealth building, etc., but unless the words sink in, unless you fully understand their meaning and are motivated to act on them, they will be valueless. That's one reason why it is important to read many different authors. Though they may say the same things, the words of one will resonate within you, while the other's are soon forgotten.

That is how it is with Jim Rohn for me. My first encounter with his material was through his tape "The Art of Exceptional Living." A powerful tape, it literally opened my eyes to some startlingly simple concepts that have the power to transform your life. And they have. I use his words when talking about sharing with my children. Not only do they instantly have a better understanding of what it means to share, but they act on it immediately! His words have now changed their lives too.

His tape affected me so much that I had to find more of his work, which led me to this book. I was not disappointed. Though there is some overlap between this book and his tape, it is well worth going over the material again. His ideas and suggestions, so powerful yet so simple, are helping to propel me to achieve all that I want.

This is an excellent book, well worth the money. Clearly written, easy to read, with examples and exercises to help drive home his points. Sure, Jim Rohn may not have the same affect on you that he did on me. But you won't go wrong reading this book.

I have read many business and personal self-help books by authors such as Anthony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Vanzant and Rohn. I must say that if you had to pick ONE book to read to increase the quality of life- it should be this one. Rohn was Robbins mentor a long time ago - he teaches you seven simple strategies as well as ways to actually implement them. He doesn't use fluff and tells it like it is. I highly recommend this book- it's the best present you could ever give a person.

Even though this book was written in 1986, I found pages and pages of wonderful ideas, that I am going to start working on today!

This is a great book to have in your collection.

This book is easy to read. And it contains many wise and very practical and useful points you need to know and APPLY in your life to succeed. One important I learned from Jim Rohn is the power of discipline and goals. You will learn whats the most important part in goal-making that many people miss. The one crucial point. Tony Robbins mentor teaches you the steps to success! A great read!

Jim Rohn, for me is the master key to create success. This book represents Jim Rohn's philosophy on wealth building.

The book is a treatise on wealth creation. It is not a spiritual guide to wealth, it is not a think and grow rich type of book. This book sets out timeless principles that when acted upon will create wealth within your life. It is a book that is designed to reform your personal philosophy towards wealth.

The book is well written, easy to understand, and easy to apply. It is the sheer simplicity of this book that makes it an absolute must read for all of those who would like to create more wealth within their lives.

I would also suggest that you read this book in conjunction with Born Rich Bob Proctor, Science of Getting Rich Wallace D. Wattles and Think & Grow Rich Napoleon Hill.

To summarise, this is a book about personal philosophical transformation. Through changing habitual patterns, and creating a new attitude to service, wealth will flow into your life. This is an absolute must read for anyone aspiring success and wealth. Recomended without hesitation.

A tremendous book on success principles written in 'laymens' terms. It is full of great quotes like, "rarely will your income exceed your personal development", and "don't send your ducks to eagle school - all you will get is unhappy ducks!" Jim Rohn is able to get across that success is not for the chosen few, but for anyone that is prepared to follow some simple principles - principles that are portrayed in an uncomplicated form in this gem of a book. A must read for anyone that wants to get ahead in life.

A very readable and confronting book. My daughter is just starting out in the world of finance. I must get her to read this whilst she is still 23. Out of print now - lent to me by a friend who is starting a new career at 50 - it is never too late to confront yourself with real goals.
