Anyone will tell you that starting a business is a lot of preparation before getting into the acutal running of the company. This book focuses on that important fact. Any business that deals with a product to a customer should have insurance. Some people may choose this business because they think that it is inexpensive and easy to sell your product, and yes it can be that if you work hard at it but the business information presented in this book is what will help save you from yourself and lack of knowledge about running a business.

While it may seem improbable that someone could sue you for food poisoning because a product you sold them made them sick, it becomes very real when you are about to lose your house and all your possessions because you were not insured. Small business insurance is probably the most important thing that someone should have if they are a sole propiertorship. This may not be good news to someone who is looking to start a business on a limited budget but it a necessity. I was impressed with all the business information that was included in this book because a lot of home based business books skip over that section and instead focus on the product. If you have the idea than you already have the product, the rest is implementation.

Get this book if you have ideas but not aware of how to run a business.

This book is really great! It is such an easy read and it really takes you step by step on how to start in this business. I began reading it not to long ago, and I can't wait to start my business.

This book is by far the best handbook written about running a gift basket business. I've owned a gift basket business for one year and was looking for new marketing ideas, so I purchased several gift basket business books from Amazon.

This book stood out from the rest because it includes TONS of marketing ideas and tells you who to contact at various types of businesses/potential markets. I am really impressed! The ideas in this book really work and have encouraged me to get even more organized and focused in my marketing.

For people looking to set up a gift basket business structure and solid business foundation, then this is the book for you. The book gives you ideas and a methodology to follow to start and set up your own gift basket business.

This book is great because it details things to check out to protect yourself legally such as health food regulations and permits that you may require. I would have never thought of these things myself since all i focus on is creating my gift baskets

Many people are very passionate about the creative side of gift baskets, however it is the business side that gets your great gift baskets to the customers hands and this book tells you how to do it.

It does go through the basics of putting together a gift basket with black and white hand drawn pictures. It may be disappointing to people looking how to create unusual gift baskets or ideas for new gift baskets - but as it states on the title "gift basket BUSINESS".

I was really excited to get this book; but I found that it was really not for beginners. She talks about getting attorneys accountants employees, etc, etc, while skipping the part of how you actually get up to the point where you can actually afford to do that. I found the information very generalized, and somewhat ellusive. I got this book, because I wanted to know how to start a gift-basket business. Yet the information seemed to skirt around the topic rather than addressing it head on. This book seems best suited to someone who has ran a business before, has a degree in business, or has abundant financial resources to tap in on. I was not impressed with it. I wish I had bought a different book on the same topic. Thanks.

This is a great manual for starting your own gift-basket business. I find that the author has put in some extensive research that will help those getting started in the business avoid some common prblems.

Being one who is very business savvy but a little short on the creative side, I was a little disappointed not to find examples of completed basket designs as I have in some other books. Consider this a minor drawback if you have ideas of your own that are ready to go but just need to know how to get started.

I found this book to be the best so far in how to start your own home-based gift basket business. I was in a frenzy trying to gather information and resources to put together my new business but Shirley George Frazier's book spelled it out in clear concise words and gave me a detailed plan.

I love this book, and have also e-mailed the author's business website to let her know how much valuable information she has bestowed.

This book is full of information. It's especially good for beginners because it covers everything, even what to put inside the basket and how to make them,, even a sample business plan. Shirley mentions everything even little things that we've forgotten, and many times I've found myself saying, "Now, that's a good idea why didn't I think of that". This book really gets you motivated and determined to start your Gift Basket business. After reading it, I've found myself going out and actually trying to do something, and not just dream about it, because I feel like I can actually do it now... haha.. a little melodramatic, but it's a good book.

For anyone interested in starting a gift basket business, this book is a must read. Topics covered answer any questions that the reader may have.
