5.0 out of 5 stars special lion, Jan 8 2010
I didn't know that lions have such a good memory; the bond between the two fellows and Christian was really remarkable and very interesting to read about. Also, the story of Christian's move to Africa was fascinating.

4.0 out of 5 stars More indepth look on the life of Christian, Feb 19 2011
I'm going to start out by saying that I really enjoyed this book. I'm not an avid reader - and I even finished it in only a few days. The book goes through the life of christian, and for those that already know some about him know that he came to fame from the Documentary called "A lion at world's end". You can watch the full documentary in 7 parts on youtube and gives you a pretty good grip on his life. Since this book is documenting the same time that the movie was being filmed there is alot of overlap, and I view this book as more of a behind the scenes look on the documentary. Added interesting points are discussed about George's work (the man the rehabilitates Christian), Where Christian, Ace, John and George are now and their conservation work. It's a moving story weather you watch the documentary, read the book or both and I commend Ace and John for using their story to further the conservation work of those in Kora.
