The book is witty and gives a view, although rather far fetched at times, of life in Canadain politics.

This is a funny book, which does not obscure the fact that it is also a bitingly accurate picture of the current state of democracy in Canada. I heartily recommend it!

Funny, clever, entertaining, and timely fiction about the Canadian system of selecting candidates for elections.

It certainly doesn't have a laugh on every page like the cover indicates, but I couldn't help admiring the characters in the book and wishing that Angus (main political character in the book) was actually a typical politician, bright, gutsy, funny and looking out for the good of the country, not himself or his party. He is easy to cheer for. as are all the characters that aren't despicable.
I did laugh out loud a few times, which is unusual for me.
I was glad to find out there was a sequel and enjoyed that too.

This DVD is a piece of crap and I want my money back..~In the first disc of 2 - it plays a 5 minute scene over and over...so I never did get to see any of the so-called movie..St least, I enjoyed the book.. A total rop-off from the CBC -
