House of M finally gets the deluxe hardcover treatment!

It contains the 8-issue mini-series and a LOT of bonus features (about 1/3 of the book!), such as variant covers, interviews, penciled pages, the script to issue 1, as well as "The Secrets Of The House Of M", which helps understand the House Of M universe a lot better, by giving the readers the new reality's status quo, as well as how the characters have all been affected by the change.

The mini itself is well done: the dialogue and art are top-notch. Nice reversal: mutants are large and in charge, with the homo sapiens as the [oppressed] minority. There are a few plot issues, such as the "convenience" of Layla, a character created for this story. Another concern, due to the limited number of issues for the mini, is that we don't get a good understanding (ie: different status quo) of that alternate reality. For that, reading the other volumes of this series is needed.

Bottom line: The deluxe-sized book is well-put together and looks great on any book shelf. Plus, at the online price of about $26, you can't go wrong!
