...but thought I was watching/reading a James Bond film. Kiss and Tell is by far the best.

I really enjoyed this romance novel. I became a fan of Cherry Adair after reading several of her fun books a few years ago. Her plots are very good and her characters are easy to relate to in all of her books.

If I were you Ms. Adair, I'd say chow to the puke from Ct who panned your terrific story...who needs so-called fans like farbie anyway, huh? -- Well, I, for one, got a kick out of this book! I enjoyed the different change of pace in romantic drama! You go, girl!

This was the second book by Cherry Adair that i have read--the first being Kiss and Tell and for some reason, this book was a little disappointing.Out of Sight tells the story of AJ- a female sniper in an anti terrorism unit. Due to a training mishap, she has lost her edge and makes a mistake on her first assignment. Her partner is Kane- a legend in the anti terrorism unit. Together, AJ and Kane are after a terrorist who has stolen a virus and intends on releasing it. They follow the terrorist over the desert to his hiding place to stop his plans. On the way, the battle his henchmen, their feelings, the desert environment etc. In premise, this book sounds like it should be great, but AJ was a little one dimensional and the book was off. I liked the character of Kane but never felt the chemistry was on between him and AJ. Like other readers, i thought that Kane guessing Aj's real name was hilarious, but otherwise the story seemed disconnected. I hope her other books are better.

Uneven story line makes for a bumpy read !!!,

This will be my last Cherry Adair book for awhile! Her writing is starting to become tiresome and boring. I think Ms. Adair has lost her edge. Think I'll go back to Stella Cameron for sizzling romance or perhaps PC Cast (a new writer that I enjoy as of late.)

A.J. Cooper's confidence was badly shaken when she was shot during a training accident. She still graduated as Sharpshooter A-1 and was determined to become an excellent T-FLAC, antiterrorist agency, operative.Kane Wright was a master of disguise and a legend among the agents. He wanted a seasoned sharpshooter agent to help his team take out a known, class-one terrorist named Fazur Raazaq. Since none were available, T-FLAC sent in A.J. It would take everything Kane had to hide his attraction from her. When Intel confirmed that Raazaq had in his possession a "category four" viral agent, the assassination was to be delayed until A.J. and Kane could locate the highly contagious viral agent, BEFORE it was used! ***** In a word, "W-O-W-!" Author Cherry Adair has created a wild, fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants, action filled modern contemporary that will hook readers on page one and never let go! Romantic Suspense gets no better than this one. Exotic local, trivia about the area, and hot romance all add up to a spicy good time. Highly recommended! *****

GREAT COVER BUT NOT SO GREAT STORY,

Three stars!!! Who would have thought I'd ever give Cherry Adair such a low rating. Unfortunately, this story just didn't do it for me. It isn't because I don't like strong female leads. I do. I'm not sure if it was lack of character development, lack of story development or what. This story just wasn't up to this author's usual standards. Let's hope it's not a new trend. For a 5 star book, try UNDRESSED by Stef Ann Holm.

Great characters...but choppy storyline......,

This review is from: Out of Sight (Mass Market Paperback)
Kane Wright was definately the selling point of this book. His character alone made it worth the read. That's about it. Parts of the storyline were choppy, leaving this reader having to turn back a few pages to see if I missed something. The best parts of the book were when Kane would make up names for what A.J. stood for. Bottom line. Lot's of sex with no emotion. Definately not in the same league with Kiss and Tell, but deserves to be read..at least once...but, is not "keeper shelf" quality.
