This review is from: Handbook of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK) for Educators (Paperback)
Technology brings an impact into teachers' learning as well as teachings. This book clearly explains how teachers can adapt their instructions into their classroom teachings. In order for teachers to gain knowledge in using technology that is constantly changing, Koehler and Mishra (2008) used Shulman's framework to explain how teachers can understand how pedagogy and technology interact with one another. They build on Shulman's view of pedagogical content knowledge to technology. The authors included several examples in the book of teachers integrating technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPCK) into specific subject areas. Those examples gave the reader a deeper insight as to how to implement technology with everyday learning. This book will encourage teachers and administrators to look at integrating technology in their schools from a view of searching the commonality between content, pedagogy, and technology.
