I love Mennonite cooking, but figured I would never know the recipes because they were all in my grandma's head. Then I received this cookbook as a gift and it was the best thing ever! I want to cook my way through this cookbook! I imagine it will taste fantastic and I'll be a little bigger by the end!

I love using Mennonite Girls Can Cook. Most of the recipes remind me of dishes my Grandmother used to cook, she never used a written recipe so I'm thrilled to be able to recreate these memories from childhood. The recipes have easy-to-find ingredients, color pictures and step-by-step instructions. The individual stories make me feel like I have met each of the authors personally. Every recipe I have tried is delicious and an instant favorite. If you're looking for a modern take on some traditional Mennonite cooking this is an excellent choice.

Mennonite Girls Can Cook has an attractive book cover which draws the eye. Inside the book, much care has been taken to present colourful graphics. The pictures catch the eye and give one determination to try that particular main dish, dessert or other suggestion. Tasty recipes are presented which suit all families. Many of these have ingredients already on hand or easily found in the local grocery store.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this cook book. It has easy to read and follow recipes and attractive pictures. I enjoy getting an insight into the contributors. Way to go girls!

I couldn't wait to try most of the recipes in this cook book! I love the pictures and the very clear instructions. I also enjoyed reading the pages about each of the girls that put together the book. They are very inspiring stories, and had some good wisdom to share.

The photography in this book and how well the home cooked meals are explained is really good. I got one for me and one for my daughter in law. This makes a wonderful beginner cookbook as well as for advanced cooks.

This is a very well put together Cook Book. It defines a culture, and points out slight variances in this culture.

I would highly recommend this cookbook to anyone, in fact I plan on giving it to my girls for a Christmas gift, when my sister in law saw the book she also decided that her girls should also have one.

I know so many of those Mennonite recipes from growing up and enjoy making them myself now. The pictures are a great help.

I purchased this cookbook to help my daughters to discover old family recipes but discovered myself that the book was helpful to me also. The photos are amazing and love the stories of the ladies who put the book together. I gave the cookbook to my daughters as an Easter gift and we spend the afternoon with book in hand reminising of Grandmas Paska and other traditions.
I love the step by step instructions so we can see what the recipe should look like.
Thanks to the ladies for passing on tradition with such beauty.
