my favourite!,

This review is from: Hollyhock Cooks (Paperback)
I received Hollyhocks cook book as a gift while visiting my sister in Virginia. As I was cooking many of our family meals I was grateful for a new source of inspiration and immediately started trying out some of the recipes. While I made the Spicy Carrot Muffins and Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies with Orange, my Mom made the Babka with Cranberry-Almond Filling. All were a big success - the recipes were easy to follow, used wholesome ingredients and the results were delicious! We went on to use this cookbook to make the rest of the meals during our family get together, and were not disappointed. Since our return home I continue to be inspired to try new recipes from the book - creating a long list of new family favourites. Highly recommended!

This is one of my favourite cookbooks. It is almost but not quite vegetarian-- there are some good fish recipes, but no meat. Every recipe I have tried has been spectacular and become part of my standard repertoire. I give Hollyhock Cooks as a gift to anyone who is interested in healthy cooking.

I am so glad I bought Hollyhock Cooks. Not only am I inspired again to try new things in the kitchen but I've been thoroughly enjoying rediscovering simple recipes such as the wonderfu ginger tea!! My mother was visiting and had to have her own copy and then one of my friends decided she needed to add this great cookbook to her collection as well. Anyone looking for easy to follow delectable recipes should enjoy this cookbook.
